If either Motte or Soriano pitch in this game I'm going to be supremely annoyed.

Seeing as how Motte's thrown 39 pitches the last two days and Soriano 40, I'm guessing neither is available.

Excellent. We might actually get our best relievers pitching late in this one.

I don't care if it's exciting. It's a way to produce runs when you're not doing it in the traditional sense. Station to station hasn't exactly worked that well these past few months.

That's what I hate most about it. People excuse it because, 'hey, you tried', when in fact you ran yourself out of an opportunity.

Please please please don't blow this, mostly for purposes of making the playoffs and being a good team but also a little so I don't have to watch sontesei and downsr textually fellate themselves after.

But where I disagree is that you are coming at it from the perspective that it fails every single time when it fact it works out more than it doesn't.

not watching the game on TV hows Schwarber looking in LF?

I'm not sure he's even had a chance in this game other than fielding singles from Reyes in the 1st and the one just a minute ago.

It needs to work out far more than it doesn't to justify it. Isn't it generally accepted that you have to successfully steal like 75-80% of the time for it to even be a neutral effect on your offense?

This convo is actually funny considering the Rockies are in this game because of stolen bases today.

It's lower now in this run environment, though I'm not sure the exact number.
