During the next collective bargaining thing, they need to reach an agreement that allows Stanton to take steroids. I mean...imagine it.

Stanton out means I'm turning it off.

Happy to see the home run derby ended before 10:00 est like always just as my channel guide predicted.

Every year I wonder why they don't allot more time and just say it will last till 11:30-12:00.

To be fair, it was delayed by rain for a while, that's why it ended late. It sure as hell didn't run long because of all the home runs that were hit. [expletive] Target Field.

I still think it ran longer than the allotted time in the channel guide, regardless of the rain delay. So even if it would have started as planned it would have gone over by a good amount of time. I want to say my guide had it scheduled for 2 hours (7-9 ct) and it started around 8 and went to nearly 11.

Is there any chance we can use Almora as a centerpiece for Stanton? I really, really, really want to see Stanton, Bryant, Baez, Rizzo and Soler in a lineup together.

You'd need to send Russell or Castro over in the deal so Bryant can stay at 3B in that situation. Unless you want an OF of Bryant, Soler, and Stanton... then you need to move Alcantara.

Long story short... you can't acquire Stanton without losing a spot for one these dudes somewhere

Nobody cares where they field if that lineup is out there.

To make it more interesting, they could rotate everyone around the field each inning like a volleyball rotation. You would have to do something to make defensive half inning somewhat exciting.

I want to see Rizzo vs. Chapman 2.0

Before meeting with the media Monday, Rizzo made sure to say hello to Reds closer Aroldis Chapman. He said their feud during Thursday's game at Great American Ball Park is officially history.

"It's over with now," Rizzo said. "This experience isn't about that. This is about enjoying the week."

Reds catcher Devin Mesoraco may have to be the middleman, just in case.

"I'm sure it will be fine here, with it being the All-Star Game and us being on the same team," Mesoraco said. "I wouldn't expect any problems."

The feud began when Chapman buzzed Cubs outfielder Nate Schierholtz twice in the same at-bat. Rizzo yelled at Chapman from the dugout rail, then went over to challenge the Reds dugout the next inning after some Reds players were chirping at him.

"Aroldis lost a couple pitches and they were up by (Schierholtz's) head," Mesoraco said. "Which, you know, anybody is going to take (umbrage) and they're not going to be happy with that.

"Rizzo was sticking up for his guys, which, as a leader, is what your teammates would like to see. So it's part of baseball at this point."

Rizzo agreed with Mesoraco's assessment.

"That's all it was," Rizzo said. "We were on our fifth game in four days, and they had kind of had our number for the first four games. Tempers flared and obviously when you settle down and dissect it… "

The incident also took place during the final minutes of the Final Vote balloting for the NL All-Star squad. Rizzo joked he had an ulterior motive.

"I needed the Final Votes," he said with a laugh.

THIS TIME IT COUNTS that's why we're letting the worst player on either team start and lead off and play a position he sucks at and if he wants he can stay up to bat until he hits a home run
