Nothing quite seals the spectacle of Stanton hitting a ball 900 feet than a huge ribbon board with "SEE YA LATER TATER" on it.

Is there any chance we can use Almora as a centerpiece for Stanton? I really, really, really want to see Stanton, Bryant, Baez, Rizzo and Soler in a lineup together.

If you were the Marlins, would you be looking at a deal with Almora as the centerpiece?

You'd need to send Russell or Castro over in the deal so Bryant can stay at 3B in that situation. Unless you want an OF of Bryant, Soler, and Stanton... then you need to move Alcantara.

Long story short... you can't acquire Stanton without losing a spot for one these dudes somewhere

510' projected. He might hit one out of the entire park

I want the Cubs to sign him just so he can hit the rooftops so much they erode and crumble in one year.

Or so this can happen to Tom Tunney from 600 feet on one of the rooftops.

Well if you're limiting it to those 5 in the lineup, wouldn't Russell be the centerpiece? Russell + Almora to start with in the deal.

Nobody cares where they field if that lineup is out there.

Can't we hope Jeffery Loria influences their GM..

Then the deal that would need to get done isn't too far from what I've been preaching.

Russell, Almora, and then replace Soler (in my dream proposal) with maybe McKinney and Edwards? Or whoever the hell else they want.

Also, with the quality of bats we'll have in the OF, I really would rather the Cubs try and let Schwarber stick at catcher and try and see if they have the next Mike Piazza. Bad defense? No worries, we'll just hit 7 home runs next inning

If the Marlins would have traded him for Correa/Springer, the Cubs wouldn't need a 3rd piece as good as Schwarber. Russell/Almora is fairly comparable, maybe add a 2nd tier guy like Black or Villanueva.

post 2014 Almora isn't on the level of post 2013 Correa or Springer. I don't think Almora has the upside (or the numbers this year) to even be the second piece for Stanton.

Almora isn't quite the prospect Springer was, but the difference between them isn't Schwarber.

And Stanton is on his way to post a career high year about 2.5x better than 2013. Correa/Springer gives us a nice approximation of what frame of mind Miami is in w/r/t Stanton, but directly comparing the prospects won't be all that useful.

But he's also a year closer to being crazy expensive.

Tulo is tied for the AL lead in HRs this year. Good to know, ESPN.
