I hate baseball

Right now I do, too.

If this series ends up a repeat of 2004 I may commit multiple homicide.

Your're gonna commit multiple homicide if Boston sweeps the Cardinals? I'd take ecstasy and go to a rave party.

To each his own, but I'll never understand going on other teams message boards to post. The thought of going on a Duke board nauseates me. Same with a Cards, Packers, or anything non-Bulls.

Figured I'd give you all a reason to root for them. Boston "Fans" made my life a living hell in college from the Patriots in 2001 and yet again in 2004.

Oh, I'm really sorry to hear that.

(I'm not really sorry.)

I hope it continues this year.

If the Cardinals lose, then I have to hear about how brilliant Theo just won his third world title for them and we should just trust him that the team being terrible is good because look at what he did in Boston employing a completely different strategy.

Congrats, that post was B2B quality. Neely next on the horizon?

My two neighbors are from St. Louis and Boston. They said back in the summer that if the Cardinals and Red Sox made the World Series they were going to put a white sheet on the back of one of their houses and grab the projector from the school one of them works at and watch the World Series in their backyards. I am so glad I am going to be out of town for the next two weeks.

Side note: I have never understood wanting to watch huge games with fans of the opposing team. My best friends in college are huge Bears fans. For some reason they decided to watch the Saints/Bears NFC Championship with our suitemate from New Orleans. It was a train wreck. We agreed for the Packers/Bears NFC Championship that we were not going to watch together. If I was a Boston fan watching that game last night I would have gone crazy when Victorino hit that grand slam, but I would have felt like a jerk if my die-hard Tigers fan uncle were sitting there with me.

Hey I don't like watching games with any other fans. I was in college for the Bears SB and had a SB party with my fraternity. And while there were no Indy fans, nothing was worse than those [expletive] smug Cleveland Brown fans (seriously Cleveland of all [expletive] places) trying to mask their own pitiful existence(cuz they're from [expletive] Cleveland) and sorrow over Ohio States sorry ass performance that year but railing against the large Bears contingency there.

That's not at all where I thought that story was going when you said that Boston and St Louis fans were getting a white sheet.

You have two options here. Either try and reserve the projector and hoard it yourself until the world series is over (if your local schools/municipality has a rental type program), or file a grievance that a "government employee" is taking something that we (tea party it up) pay for and are using it for their own personal enjoyment.

Don't want to derail a thread into politics, but most conservatives I know think public facilities should be more available to the public. For example, in my hometown they are building a community center. Which is cool, except there are plenty of gyms, theaters, weight rooms, etc. in the public schools that are empty every day. They should find a way to manage those instead of building yet another gym/theater/weight room.
