i would just like to note that kyle's bs where he claimed he was going to try to full-on adopt either the cardinals or blue jays over the course of an off-season is completely different from my bs where i desperately flail and try to reverse jinx the cardinals

Strangely enough the sting is less and less each time the Cardinals win the World Series (yes they've already won it, its over). The only time it gets annoying is seeing FB friends that talk about the Cardinals.

For some reason last night did not bother me at all. I was having too much fun laughing at the fact that their team was putting themselves on the doorstep of the World Series and their fans were still taking every chance they could to whine about Puig.

If there is anyone who has been cursed in baseball, it's definitely been St Louis...

Speaking of ESPN, they just hired Jonah Keri for BBTN. With guys like Harold Reynolds, Mitch Williams, Larry Bowa, Bill Ripkin, Kevin Millar, etc., I'm starting to think the tide has turned back to BBTN over MLBN's show, not that there aren't still idiots on ESPN.

Hopefully they have a lot nights with both Keri and Law (now that he lives out east full time) on there moving forward to go against the Kruk's of the world. Great News!

AJ Ellis is from my hometown about 2 hours south of StL. He was a Cubs fan growing up. He hit the GW HR today. I love him.

Ironically, Ellis said he was never much of a Cardinals fan even though he and his family went to quite a few games at Busch Stadium while they lived here.

 

"I grew up more of a Cubs fan, but I remember going to a lot of Cardinals games," he said.

I hate Puig mostly because we all laughed at the Dodgers for overpaying for someone who wouldn't be as good as Soler. Still might not end up being but I have to admit I didn't think he'd be this good.
