I can kind of see where he was coming from. I'm glad the umpires got the call right, but what is the criteria for overturning a call like that? Would the same call have been made without the crowd reaction if the game was being played in St. Louis? The umpires got it right, which is the most important part, but I do think the opposing manager is justified in questioning the overturn.

Yeah, Matheny needs to come out there and at least point out that they're basically overturning the call because Farrell/the crowd asked them to. He doesn't however, need to keep arguing in animated fashion to the point where you wonder if they're about to toss him. He crossed the line from making the point to aggravating the umpires for little reason.
