  1. Dynasties are dead in MLB edit - actually it's a stretch to claim there's been a Dynasty in any american pro sport outside of Brady/Belichek since the late 90's Yankees They don't count either, since they've had to cheat over and over to do so
  2. Tanking doesn't work. 1 title does not equal a dynasty.
  3. The fielder has plenty of room to get out of the way of the runner. Or one could blame the terrible throw to 3rd by Saltalamacchia.
  4. Figured I'd give you all a reason to root for them. Boston "Fans" made my life a living hell in college from the Patriots in 2001 and yet again in 2004.
  5. Right now I do, too. If this series ends up a repeat of 2004 I may commit multiple homicide.
  6. I guess I've learned to just ignore the CT-type talk, I pretty much missed those contributions. You are correct.
  7. No one in this thread is trolling. It's a thread about a rival, yes, so a certain amount of snark from both sides is expected, but it seems like the discussion has been pretty reasonable, with good arguments from both sides about how much of a difference the signings in replacement of Pujols can make. The impact of Pujols leaving his former team is seen as more significant around here than it is elsewhere. That much is clear.
  8. I don't believe that, but fine. I'll stop.
  9. I'm discussing the game, and not trolling. If you can post on our board and be (somewhat) reasonable while doing so, I can do the same on yours. And no one there ever called you such a name.
  10. No way to know what would have happened. Sorry. If LaRussa doesn't take Lohse out right this instant, STL won't be leading for much longer. No worries.
  11. Ump totally blew the call, but the blown call was kind of moot, since Harrison went on to give up hits to Berkman, Freese, walked Molina, etc.
