If the season ended tonight, OSU would have to play a Thursday B1G tourney game. LOL

Err, only 4 teams don't, many B1G tourney teams play Thursday.

Sure, but OSU was expecting better this year. Their absolutely lol-worthy OOC schedule propped up an entirely mediocre team

Michigan went to the National Title game last year and was a 4 seed in the tourney but only a 5 seed for the BTT

Sad news out of Purdue. Jay Simpson's playing career is over due to a heart condition called HCM. He'll be staying on and getting his degree but his basketball days are over. He's really lucky this was caught before it killed him.

Jesus, who ever plays Michigan next you are welcome. We are getting all their makes out of them tonight.

Yeah, the Illini haven't played their best defensive game by a longshot, but there's not much to be done when a team shoots like this.

Michigan has just been unconscious.

Problem is UM is 80th(!) in AdjD, that won't get you very far come tournament time.

It's 71st after last night, and I believe their adjusted D was somewhere near 60 last year

i don't know if you Illini fans knew this, but Caris Levert was an Ohio commit until Groce got hired away

also, he supposedly never got an offer from UI

No we all missed that hatchet job from a michigan blog about groces awful crime of not recruiting a 2 star guy who committed to the school he was moving from

and i'm sure Ohio University would have greatly appreciated Groce poaching their committed recruits.

Gee I wonder if that blog ran with that story with Jalen Brunson in mind? What a joke.

theres almost no doubt

I guess it comes down to if Jalen wants to play immediately or sit behind Walton for a year or two. Being a Chicago kid, I am sure he will go sit.

I've heard he's a big MSU lean.....

Really? I keep hearing if Duke or NC offers he's going back home.

Oh yeah, take what I "hear" with an enormous grain of salt.

Was just my feeling based on what I've read and how much he and Rick supposedly love Izzo.

Crap, I really enjoyed watching him play unlike half of the team.

Huge win for Nebraska tonight, winning in Bloomington where Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa and Ohio State couldn't. They will need to beat Wisconsin to have an at large chance, but the game is in Lincoln, where Nebraska is undefeated except for a 1 point last second loss to Michigan. If they can win that and a BTT game I think they are in.

Even though I am the ONE person here who gives a frick, but Arkansas is playing some great basketball the last month. Tonight they scored 100 points with just under 10 minutes to play and were just up 50 on a not terrible Ole Miss team. Every game it's somebody else with a 20 point night, and not one of those nights has been from our best player, Portis. Keep it rolling Hogs.

Nope you're not the ONE person here. It's been fun watching/following them lately like you said. Looking forward to next year with this group.

The announcers of the KU game keep talking about how solid Texas Tech is and how impressive it is that KU is blowing them out. I started to get stoked. They must be better than I remembered! Nope, they're 13-16, 5-11 in conference.

Glad Jeff Howard is graduating so Crean can't put him in games anymore. Of course, I'm sure some other walk-on scrub will take his place and become the ceremonial Daniel Moore v3.0. :stickman:

You weren't fond of subbing Howard in for Troy Williams (who scored 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting) on the biggest offensive possession of the game (down four with 1:30 left)?

Those teams couldn't, but penn state and northwestern could.

I just assumed Crean was tanking the game and wanted the Senior to finish on the court. But then he took him out again. Of course, don't know why he was conceeding the game down 4 with the ball.

I know we don't have Embiid, but man, this team really lays some stinkers. We will lose earlier in the tournament than most people predict.

That said, Wiggins is awesome today.
