IU has assured themselves of a single digit loss season. Thats a good feeling with the amount of talent coming in next season.

Yep, I believe Gary Harris will go down as an all-time Hoosier great.

Harris would have been great, guess they will just have to get by with the others.

LOL, WTF

Hopefully Painter makes sure one of his boys isn't naked and lashed to something in bowels of the fake Assembly Hall before the bus leaves Bloomington.

But seriously, that's creepy as [expletive].

By the way, gotta give props to the IU senior class. While I do understand that if they were a more talented group, they would not have been Hoosiers....I do appreciate all of them staying. The main guys are the scholarship players Jones III, Pritchard, and Roth. All 3 guys could have left IU once their playing time was threatened, but they stuck with the program. Jones went from team's leading scorer to coming off the bench as a SR. Pritchard went from putting up 10/6 as a freshman in 29 minutes per, to seeing his playing time cut by 2/3 and scoring fewer points the last 3 years than he did as a freshman. Roth also had his playing time jerked around a lot in his time at IU, but really worked hard to become a better defender and really took to his role as a marksman off the bench.

Whatever happens to this team the next 2 weeks, I couldn't be more happier about this season for the 5 seniors. Those 5 have helped recruit the players that have come to the program the last 3 years. They have by all accounts practiced hard consistently when the team had less than no hope. I would have never imagined that this would be a 25-win team this soon. Hopefully these 5 guys will be the trigger to a return to being a premier program for IU basketball.

Would any other schools even let Jones and Pritchard transfer in?

Yeah, congrats Verdell, you decided to stick with Indiana rather than transferring to FIU

Still, it's a viable option that nobody would have blamed him for considering. Several players who did play for IU in 2009 transferred to smaller schools once they knew they would be losing playing time when actually recruited players were coming in. Jones could have gone to FIU for the playing time. Scoring 16 points in 32 minutes/game at FIU could be a lot more appealing than 7 points in 18 minutes at IU.

Arizona should be totally off the bubble now, right?

ETA: Geez, now Cal loses to Stanford. The Pac-12 is a hot mess.

somebody on the scout board is really insistent that miller will be a target for illinois, stating that he desperately wants to get out of arizona and back to the midwest. i'm skeptcal, but still.

He better really [expletive] hate Arizona and despise living there with every fiber of his being then. He has the #1 recruiting class in the country coming in there to a conference that is currently terrible. Not that he should be scared but look at the coaches in this league compared to the Pac-12.

At this rate, are Illinois's NIT hopes fading?

God, I hope so. All I want to see at this point is the presser where they announce Bruce is gone.

It'll be right after their BTT finals loss to Northwestern.

So the OSU win yesterday did nothing to change the seedings?

Nope. MSU, Michigan, and OSU were all locked in 1,2,3 respectively once Michigan beat PSU earlier.

I'd still keep them out.
