The Iowa stuff is pretty scary. According to Joe Schad, an Iowa parent said that one player lost 20-30% of his kidney function and may never get it back. And some players have gained 30-50 pounds because of the amount of fluids that have been forced into their bodies since being hospitalized.

Now this guy will never win Strength & Conditioning Coach of the Year

Ray Drew committed to Georgia today. Huge get for them, if they can land Crowell too they will have a top 5 class.

yes, the Dawgs have received commitments from almost everyone on their recruiting 'Dream Team'...Lucky for Richt there is a lot of in state talent in this recruiting class.....One more mediocre season, and Richt will be shown the door.

I really thought Muschamp would be a Georgia this coming season, not Florida. Richt must have an in with a bigtime donor.

I thought rusch was an Iowa fan

Well he was but he mostly loved to rant about them and was banned from multiple Iowa boards. He also liked to post in the political threads here and post the Cubs lineups here early.

This guy started posting when Rusch stopped, has never posted about Indiana despite being a fan, loves to rant about Iowa, seems to know a lot of details on and off the field, posts the same way in the political thread and gets the lineups in game threads early.

If you want to talk Indiana football, we can. I just find no point in doing so.

Since you say I say nothing about Indiana football, I'll chime in: They're probably going to be terrible like always especially with Chappell graduated/Doss gone to the NFL next year. The offensive line next year with McDonald, Pagan, Damisch, and Matte returning should improve but offensively they have nothing left besides Belcher. He should flourish next year but there won't be Tandon to help take the pressure off. I expect him to be heavily covered next year by everybody.

I'm hoping for a pretty decent battle into camp between Roberson (Indiana's Mr. Football), Kiel and Wright-Baker for quarterback. I'm really not sure that Wilson would start a true freshmen over a sophomore, but Wright-Baker is nothing really impressive from what I've seen (more a runner than a passer). Both Wright-Baker and Roberson are dual-threat quarterbacks, and it'll be interesting with Oklahoma's style of football how it'll fit. I wonder if they'll lean towards Kiel since he's more of a pro-style quarterback, and that fits with Oklahoma's schemes. We're really going to miss Chappell for sure.

I would also expect Nick Turner to possibly take and really battle the job from Darius Willis depending if Willis can get back to 100 percent from patellar injury. It probably won't really matter because Willis can't seem to get through a season without getting hurt.

Up front defensively, I'm interested in seeing how Johnson plays as he seems to be the guy with Beckum the most in the backfield. Replogle isn't too bad upfront either. Other than that, the rest of the defense is pretty much garbage. They have Zack Shaw (4 star guy) coming in at linebacker, and that's about it there.

The cupboard is pretty much empty like always.

They should win 2-3 games next year (South Carolina State and maybe @ North Texas/Ball State). Conference-wise the only win is at home against Purdue and that's a long shot. Road schedule is hardest in conference - @ Iowa, Wisconsin, Mich. St, and Ohio St.

Then why did you first just say that you were an Alford fan, then you changed it to an Indiana guy, then you edited again to delete?

Where are the detectives who figured out RedFlash?

Seriously... name a coach who has done less with more moreso than Richt? How he continues to be given chance after chance, and how he continues to make kids think they will win anything of consequence at UGA is baffling.

#1 - I decided to forget and/or delete my post because the topic wasn't going anywhere after a couple replies back and forth.

#2 - Then you obviously saw that I posted that I was an Indiana (Alford) guy. After that, you tried to compare me to another poster that posts here or used to so I decided to give you Indiana football information since you posted that I rarely talk about them.

Now, lets get back to your regularly scheduled college football offseason thread and I'll head back into the politics thread where I belong.

Also, what did the "detectives" figure out about RedFlash?

that he had 2 accounts

And that he should have never been allowed on the internet to begin with.

Well, to be fair, he's from Alabama, and the internet's only been here since 2007. So, he's probably still just learning how to use it.

Also, if you really care that much about what a bunch of nameless, faceless schmucks on the internet think about you, you probably shouldn't be allowed on the internet.

So, with NSD only a few days away, anybody hearing anything juicy about your school's prospective signing class?

I'm hearing really positive stuff about Timmy Jernigan from his visit to Tennessee this weekend. Basically been told that if he could sign his LOI today, it would be UT, but since he's gonna have to go home and think about it for a few days, it's gonna be a 50/50 battle with Florida State.

Curt Maggitt is another name making waves with Tennessee. DeAnthony Arnett tweetered that he had just heard some incredible news, and said "ut fans, its about to go down at ut." I just hope that doesn't mean someone else is about to be arrested.

it would have been funny if he went against himself in the NSBB best poster tourney a couple of years ago

John Bryce of VolQuest said Jernigan was "blown away" by his visit and he told Bryce UT was definitely in his top three now. I was happy we got a visit from him, especially this late, but didn't really expect to have a good shot at him.

I know you're not a big Hubbs fan, but he seemed to think there was a much better shot at Maggitt on the radio Thursday. He'd been pretty negative on our chances previously, I believe.

if we just hold all 23 recruits, I'll be ecstatic. If we steal Niklas from USC or someone like that, all the better. But I'd much prefer no ND recruiting "news" between now and Wednesday.

For the record, I like Hubbs, and I think Volquest is the best site around for news. Now, his technical writing leaves alot to be desired, and the moderation of that site is a total joke, but he deserves credit for running a site that usually does an excellent job of reporting only rock-solid news.

So, from what I'm gathering from folks, Gabe Wright is now 50/50 between Aub/UT, and whether Aubies wanna admit it or not, it was probably 60/40 in UT's favor a week ago. But, with Jernigan now being a legit threat to sign with UT, I don't think Wright's decision is make-or-break.

On Tiny Richardson, I'm also hearing it's now 50/50 between UT/Auburn. I've heard from someone I trust reasonably well as recently as Thursday that Tiny was a 100% Vol-lock, but I'm not getting that sense anymore.

Maggit sounds like he's 50/50 as well (UT/UF), but UF sounds like their class is disintegrating right now. So, I won't be surprised to see UT pull this one off.

Have heard that UT will lose 2 current commits on NSD. Not sure if that means they sign elsewhere or if UT turns them away due to other signees or if there will be another circumstance behind it, but this is pretty typical, so not sure how much "news" there is in this disclosure.

And this is way out of left field, but there are some who secretly think UT has a shot with Clowney. Apparently, his father has mentioned putting off their signing (which is really annoying, btw) until Feb. 14th because of a certain coach at a school they had'nt been considering previously. There are some who are saying that coach is Chuck Smith. But, I've also heard multiple times that Smith is gone after NSD, either to be replaced by Lance Thompson, who is replaced by Peter Sirmon, or that Rodney Garner's name is popping up again. Rumor is that he's gone from UGA (DC wants his own guy in there), and that Auburn (Searles is reportedly going to Texas) and UT are both possible destinations. Maybe nothing comes from that, but they don't call this the "silly season" for nothing.

There's something going on that we don't know about yet. They all tested negative for illegal drugs, but nobody has said anything about supplements or their weekend activities before Monday's workout (my guess is a lot of alcohol was consumed). They've been doing this exact same workout for years without any issues at all.

My bet is that it comes out they got overloaded on protein supplements. That exact same thing happened to a buddy of mine in college and that's exactly what the problem was. He was a pretty serious weight lifter and was taking creatine, protein, and a few other totally legal supplements and ended up with too much protein in his system and the kidneys got overwhelmed. He got IV fluids at the hospital and was fine within a few days.

eh, I disagree with the 60/40 portion of your post, but I'm not going to invest much effort in debating it. Wright has led both UT and AU to believe they are the favorite for many weeks now.

Defensive tackle Gabe Wright figures he's made the short drive from Columbus, Ga., to Auburn 20 times for unofficial football visits.

His official recruiting visit was this weekend, and he left saying favorable things about the Tigers.

"I put Auburn last for a reason. I was always told to put your favorite school last so you get the best last so you can make all the necessary choices," Wright said. "I've made a pro and cons list -- a yes and no list -- already. I've still got some things to sort out."

Marcus Roberson committed to AU today (or was that yesterday..?) He's the #2 cornerback per Rivals and is an important piece. I'm looking forward to Wednesday.

So much for that. Bennett Okotcha switches from ND to Oklahoma.

Let's just say I have multiple relationships with people in the program (most who are around it on a daily basis, and a couple who actually wear uniforms) and every one of them has told me that Wright told players and coaches straight up two weeks ago "I am coming to UT, and don't believe anything else you read or hear."

Do I think he really ends up at UT? Won't be shocked, though I probably believe it's Auburn deep down. But, I believe what I've been told.
