....going to be a lot of ups and downs between now and NSD, but I think Auburn will have a top 5 class....and yes, some of those walmart pictures are hilarious. Just to be clear though, this is an agreement between Dr. Pepper and Walmart, not something Auburn requested.

Didn't the same thing happen at Alabama last year?

And the Auburn fans ruthlessly made fun of Bama fans for doing it

I think most realized it was sponsor driven, but yes....some Auburn fans did make fun of Alabama for this last year.

Weird stuff going on with TCU's schedule. First, the MWC wants to move their home game against Boise State to become a Boise State home game as a big "screw you" to the departing school. Now it was just announced that Texas Tech is dropping TCU as they make room for a 9 game conference schedule despite still needing a non-conference game. TCU was willing to move it, but Texas Tech declined.

5-star DE Stephon Tuitt has switched his commitment from Notre Dame to Georgia Tech back to Notre Dame all in the last 28 hours. This is one of the weirdest recruiting seasons I can remember. On the other hand, I'm not sure anyone in America has had a better last two months than Bob Diaco.

Tate Forcier just did an entire press release on Twitter about his intentions to transfer. What a [expletive] whackjob family. Hopefully, Michigan never has to deal with the Forcier family ever again.

After that ridiculous recruiting website he and his family put together, is anyone surprised by this? Signing him was a desperation move.

Well, KU has out together a reasonably strong class considering how bad we've been the last two years. We're up to 31 in the team rankings. That's partly because it's a large class, but we've added a ton of speed. Considering we looked like we were running in cement shoes, that's a good thing.

Highlights from the class include Darrian Miller (a rivals top 250 RB,) Anthony Pierson (another Rivals top 250 ath/RB), Brock Berglund (15th ranked dual threat QB and the only Q on the roster w/ big 12 talent), 6 OL, and a ton of speed, speed, speed.

Miller, Berglund, and Julius Green (6'7", 265lbs DE) are all on campus now, too. So they'll get a full semester in college to prepare.

Hopefully Gill and co can turn this class into players on the field.

So it looks like Notre Dame has opened up the check book this offseason. Five 5-star recruits commited? Wow.

The Pierson one nearly kills me. Our relationship with East St. Louis sucks so I wasn't shocked that he decommitted, but I thought for sure he was Arkansas-bound after that. Very nice class for Kansas.

Missouri's is eh. Hopefully Richardson actually gets on campus.

Keep in mind that Rivals ranks classes only based on the top 20 recruits. So, that means your class is good, regardless of how many KU signs.

Where are you seeing 5? Rivals has them with 2. Are you just combining all services to get that number?

Either way, that is a heckuva class.

didn't know that. good news, assuming you're right.

the bigger question will be if the staff can coach these guys up. Next year will be another bad year wins/losses-wise, but hopefully we'll be more competitive and poised for a bowl run in 2012-13.

Per Scout they have 4 (Tuitt, Williams, Lynch, Koyack). On Rivals, only Tuitt and Williams are 5-stars, though Lynch should be. very strong class and filled positions of great need with real talent (D-line and CB in particular).

I think Pierson is a big academic question mark, isn't he? I thought I read that both Iowa and Mizzou stopped recruiting him because they didn't think he would qualify. Something happened with Miller too where Iowa just stopped recruiting him after his visit and I think Wisconsin backed off also.

Oklahoma WR Kenny Stills was arrested for a DUI and safety Tony Jefferson was arrested for interfering with the police during the same incident.

Well he's going to KU to solidify that he gets in no matter what.

Cyrus Kouandjio is coming to town this weekend. I plan on showing him a good time, if you know what I mean.

any word on how this visit went? ...believe he is visiting AU this weekend. I still think he probably signs with Alabama since his brother plays there, but that's not a given at this point..
