All of the OSU message boards are still talking about how Tressel is a "class act" and that he's a "man of character."

It will be interesting to see how they feel once this SI article comes out. I hear it's a doozy. Rumors of free housing, girls paid to have sex with players/recruits, Tenn Ginn Sr paid to funnel recruits, drug dealing. I'm sure OSU fans won't change their opinion once the article comes out though.

oh please let tedd ginn sr. go to jail

This article needs to hurry up and come out.

Supposed to be out in an hour. Can't wait. Pryor is also apparently done at OSU. There's a new investigation that centers on him. This is all too delicious.

You mean this! It just keeps getting better. I wish I was in Ann Arbor today.

The NCAA and the Ohio State University's compliance office are conducting an independent investigation of Terrelle Pryor amid allegations that the star quarterback may have received cars and other extra benefits, sources told The Dispatch today.

Pryor has been questioned by OSU compliance officials in the past, but sources said this is the most significant inquiry to date. He already has been interviewed at least once by investigators within the past few weeks, sources said.

Pryor and the cars he drives have been an issue since he arrived on campus three years ago. Pryor has been connected to more than a half dozen vehicles during his time at Ohio State, according to sources.

I don't think Pryor will play another game at OSU.

Suddenly Wisconsin looks poised for a big run in the Leaders division. Illinois, Indiana, Purdue, OSU in line for a few down years and PSU will be looking at the end of the Paterno era.

Pryor showed up to a team meeting tonight driving a new Nissan 350z with temporary tags. That kid is dumb as bricks.

If someone gave me a Z for free I'd immediately sell it so I wasn't driving a Z.

The O Zone forum is fun to read today.

Herbie + ESP$N and the Media have destroyed any chance of a young man in Ohio fulfilling his dream and playing for JT. Heck , The high school football players and parents in Ohio knew and appreciated HC Jim Tressel. This is a travesty by the lying and money hungry Media ...Who could care less about the future of young men who play football.

"ESP$N?" That is...amazing, on so many levels.

From fall 2002 through last year, first at Dudley'z and then at Fine Line Ink, at least 28 Ohio State players are either known or alleged to have traded or sold memorabilia in violation of NCAA rules. It is a staggering number, a level of wrongdoing that would seem hard to miss for a coach and an entire athletic department -- one that includes an NCAA compliance staff of at least six people. Yet the university trusted the coach, and the coach says he knew nothing before April 2010, when the Columbus lawyer tipped him off in an e-mail.

He was ignorant of it all.

That's kind of a weak story considering all the hype and the fact that SI is acting like it got Tressel fired.

I'll admit that I expected more. The timing seems to indicate it did push a switch though. From what I understand tO$U got a copy of the article on Friday. So whatever happened between Friday and today seemed to dictate them shoving Tressel out the door.

Yeah, that's a pretty tame article basically rehashing everything we already knew. Pryor having 8 different cars in 3 years is hilarious though. It'll be interesting to see what comes of that, although it sounds like Pryor is done at OSU anyway.
