Looks like Notre Dame dropped their demand for Northwestern to host a game at Soldier Field if a home and home was ever scheduled. Northwestern plays at Notre Dame in 2014 and Notre Dame comes to Evanston, hopefully to a renovated Ryan Field, in 2018.

I'm just shocked anyone in the Legends/Leaders conference agreed to a non-conference game with an FBS opponent outside of September. I thought the conference schedule was much too important to Jim Delany for ND to divert eyeballs from it.

I'm glad to be playing Northwestern. It's a good series to have on the slate.

Ramsey had a career-ending back injury following the 2007 season and later filed suit against Auburn's then-head athletic trainer saying that an aggressive rehabilitation program worsened the problem. He lost the suit and is appealing, according to the News.

Ramsey still plans to graduate from Auburn but is currently home in Mississippi.

this kid will either need security detail or to transfer, and probably both.

Or so the Tuscaloosa mafia would have you believe.

Consensus top 3 QB (5 star) recruit Zeke Pike will choose between Michigan, Purdue, and Auburn tomorrow.

edit - Arkansas may also still be in the mix...anyway, i'm hearing he will commit to a team tomorrow.

Sounds like he's picking Auburn.

I'm sure his parents are about $180,000 richer...

He isn't considering Mississippi State per my understanding.

Like anything like that could slide through the cracks at Mississippi State what with the perpetual mudslinging from the University of Mississippi.

Strange, Auburn usually waits till the last day to lock in top recruits.

lmao...ok, the 'perpetual mudslinging' post probably deserved to be mocked, but BtB, you're just riding SSRs coattails around this thread, patting him on the back. you can do better.

For what it's worth, I'm sure Auburn University has or had boosters that would be willing to pay players....However, I don't believe Auburn University athletic department has orchestrated a pay for play scheme, nor have I seen evidence to this point that any of the accusations, even those made by disgruntled Chaz Ramsey, are going to stick.

There's much I can say about your willful ignorance to the goings-on in Auburn football that hasn't already been said. So I laugh.

Spurrier addressed oversigning today by saying it's a bit embarrassing for them, but he likes the current rules due to poor academics in the state.

At least he's honest about the kind of kids he recruits, I guess.

Well that could cover most of the SEC.

Harvey Updyke, the man who poisoned the trees at Toomer's Corner, was attacked after a hearing today at a gas station and was sent to the ER.

Nothing like losing perspective about something less important by attacking a man who did something after losing perspective on something even less important.
