overdramatic much?

Okay, would it be less dramatic to just say it is sad that there are people who do not give a crap about Declan Sullivan except that they can use his death to slam ND:)

It's still as incorrect as the above. No one is being opportunistic about this. You don't need a kid to die to rag on ND, anyway

CFT"]Tressel had received emails beginning last April from a Columbus attorney and former Buckeyes football player stating that two his current players — later learned to be quarterback Terrelle Pryor and wide receiver DeVier Posey — had been selling OSU memorabilia to the owner of a local tattoo parlor in exchange for money and/or discounts at his shop. Tressel claimed that he had not informed anyone at the university of the information he had in his hip pocket because “confidentiality” was requested by the sender. That “confidentially” defense was obliterated when the actual emails came to light and revealed “confidentiality” wasn’t requested until the second email was sent, a full two weeks after the first.

Now comes a damning report from the Columbus Dispatch which further proves just how much of a sham Tressel’s public stance really was.

According to the Dispatch, and citing multiple unnamed sources, Tressel forwarded the emails he had received last April to Jeanette, Pa., businessman Ted Sarniak. Sarniak has been Pryor’s mentor for the past several years and served as the point man in the quarterback’s recruitment.

The NCAA can't like this.

Hmmm, so O$U may have had a street agent in the recruitment of Pryor too. The dude is [expletive] dirty as hell, more so than Pearl.

Oh and here is some more on this guy:

The Westmoreland County District Attorney's Office has cleared a Jeannette businessman and a police officer of a bribery allegation after the officer failed to charge the man with drunken driving and refusing a blood test following an accident.

Ted Sarniak, who owns Jeannette Specialty Glass/Oceana, crashed his car into a utility pole in Jeannette on Oct. 28, 2006. Police did not arrest Sarniak, even though he smelled of alcohol and was uncooperative with police, according to District Attorney John Peck.

Peck said there is no evidence that Sarniak's subsequent donation of $4,000 to the Jeannette Police Department to purchase Taser guns was a reward for escaping arrest on a drunken-driving charge.

Let's not go crazy here.

Maybe, I just lack the amount of hatred towards Pearl that most have on this board.

Every other person in the world lacks the amount of hatred toward Pearl that SSR has.

I've gotta be at best 5th behind Jimmy Collins, Deon Thomas, his ex-wife, and God.

The 2013 and 2014 Big Ten football season will be 14 weeks long, from the last Saturday in August to the last Saturday in November. Each team will have 2 idle weeks.

Here we go:

SportsByBrooks"]HBO Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel premieres an hour-long special on the business and ethics of college sports on Wednesday. The first airing is at 10p ET on HBO.

I have obtained an advance copy of the show and have transcribed excerpts of a portion of the Andrea Kremer-hosted “Pay to Play” segment of the show below.

The segment contains explosive claims from former Auburn players Chaz Ramsey, Troy Reddick, Stanley McClover and Raven Gray.

Things might be getting worse for Tressel

Mark Jones, a former managing director of enforcement with the NCAA, said Ohio State’s penalties will likely be stiffer if the NCAA rules Tressel committed major violations within the five-year window since OSU’s basketball penalties from March of 2006.

That would classify Ohio State as a repeat violator, which seems clear given the time frame involved and an admission by OSU athletic director Gene Smith at the March 8 press conference which detailed Tressel’s actions.

With tOSU and Auburn going down, the timing is looking better and better for KU to step right in and fill the power void. Now we just need 115 more programs to be slammed with penalties.

You can always recruit more Aqib Talib's!

I've been trying to figure out where all this was coming from. (I know Talib has had some problems before, but it seemed sort of random.) But I just saw the news story about him. Oh, Aqib.
