The dunk contest has gotten ridiculous, but the biggest travesty is letting fans vote on the winner. Hmmm, I wonder who's going to win, the guy who is on ESPN every 2 minutes with dunk montages or the Wizard that no one has heard of?

My biggest issue with it now is all the missed dunks. You know what MJ, Vince, and Nique great? They all did it on the first try. That and they didn't need a thousand props to catch an alleyoop and dunk it with two hands. Oh and I hate Kenny Smith.

 

the degree of difficulty on some of those dunks is so off the charts now that a couple of misses per attempt is pretty much going to be a staple

Rihanna is really hot and it's cool how all her songs are about how much she loves to get banged but she really can't sing at all.

I thought Ibaka was robbed. I'm really not sure how the dunk from the free throw line wasn't a 50. That was still the best dunk contest since the year VC put on a show.

 

Why doesn't the NBA just do the same thing that MLB does for the All-Star Game and have the players wear their team's jersey instead of creating a horrible, generic-looking one?

MLB does generic looking ones for the HR derby. NFL does it for the Probowl also. Obviously, the point is to sell merchandise, and the NBA needs all the help it can get financially. I don't have a problem with it at all. I'm sure someone liked those jerseys.

Kenny Smith is good in the studio but you get him on one of these gimmick events and he becomes "Robin Williams on a talk show" annoying.

 

He's still a lot less annoying than Reggie. He had to have set a words per minute record for a non play by play guy Saturday night. Shut up for 10 seconds one [expletive] time Reggie.

Well obviously they believe he has the potential to do a lot more. But I didn't think he had all that much potential. I thought his best case scenario was backup big man on a contender.
