lol ok I can let my love for speedsters like Pierre get in the way of my brain sometime but this is about Grabow.

I think our bullpen is one of the best around so I don't see reasons for trading valuable players. But Grabow reminds me of a young MIke Fetters. A big, husky boy who can intimdate on the mound. He grabs at his crotch alot, and I saw on Discovery channel thats a sign of dominance. Hopefully he helps put us over the top.

Sorry if this has been posted:

After their game against the Houston Astros today, the Cubs are expected to announce they have acquired left-handed reliever John Grabow from the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Grabow, 30, will complement lefty Sean Marshall in the bullpen. Grabow is 3-0 with a 3.42 ERA in 47 1/3 innings. He has 16 holds in 45 games. Left-handed batters are hitting .275 and righties are hitting .234 off Grabow, who is eligible for free agency after the season.

What's the point of this trade?

He's better than Heilman?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure every move Hendry has made since acquiring Harden has been awful.

Pffft, you clearly haven't heard of a young guy named David Patton have you?

Oh wait...

I cant beleeve the hate here for a guy like "Wonderful Juan". Id give him a million anyday. And Nolasco is like dirty diapers. Kind of funny to see a premier base theif get stolen. ;)

I think I can live with this. So Jackson must be headed somewhere else then?

if that is it, then hendry deserves his first pat on the back in over a year

i still don't agree with the trade though

I'm definitely down with that if it's true.

Bleh don't like losing Jay Jackson for that kind of haul but I'm not gonna throw a fit over it

We still need to continue/get better at hitting more than help our bullpen anyway

Woo.

That's the way to make every trade look better. Leak out a prospect 10 times better and then drop in worse players and it looks like you have made a fantastic deal.

Ed Price, via Twitter, says the Cubs are also sending third baseman Josh Harrison.

How many more utility/relievers can we package here!?

While the Pirates minor leagues probably look pretty great right now, who the hell is still on that team!? I can't think of anyone.
