Tom Brokaw does the narration for the University of Iowa commercial. Wondering what his connection to the school was I wiki-ed and saw he was a drop out from there. Doesn't it seem a little strange to feature a drop out, no matter how famous they are?

 

Apparently Iowa City was as fun then as it is now, "beer and co-eds." Go Hawks!

Well Iowa played a really solid game for 35 minutes. Looked to me like fatigue got the best of them at the end. Weren't closing out on shooters and getting loose balls like they were for most of the game.

 

At least this team is getting better and there is some legitimate hope for the future if everyone sticks around which is the key. Eric May has been way ahead of my expectations. Held Turner to 10 points on 13 shots until he got breakaway dunks in the last minute after keeping Battle in check a week ago.

Gameday had a whole segment of K-State players imitating how crazy Frank Martin is. I'm also amused how much they're playing up the "Octagon of Doom" considering they just lost their last home game.

Obama was just in the announcers' booth calling the Duke/Georgetown game. That was rather amusing.

OMG, LSU is playing Miss St right now and at the half they have 15 points. The announcers just said that in their last 40 minutes of play LSU has 27 points. :shock:
