Wow...just wow.

Jim Edmonds...if someone told me a year ago that he would be doing this for the Cubs, I'd have not only not believed them, but might have possibly pummeled them within an inch of their life.

A random question involving the infield fly rule:

Say you have runners on first and second with, let's say no outs. The runners are moving on the pitch and the batter pops it up for an infield fly rule, can the runners be doubled off their respective bases? I would assume so but I'm not completely sure.

I believe so. Runners move at their own risk when an infield fly rule is in effect.

When an ump calls infield fly, the ball is deemed caught. If you are on base, treat it as if it were a fly out. Doesn't matter if the fielder lets it fall or not.

Edmonds can get hits off the Bush as well.

I know there are a number of Edmonds-Bush jokes that can be made, but I'm not about to make them.

Where are all the whiners about the Cubs offense today?

I love how Edmonds is making up for lost time in terms of home runs, he hasn't played much recently so he has to smack some homers today

He's still a fairly strong possibility for 20 home runs in a Cubs uniform, crazy.

How is Rich Harden going to be denyed a win this time? My guess is huge pitch count gets him out of the game after 4 2/3 innings.

I bet the Padres hate their life.
