  1. What about: Schwarber LF Bryant RF Baez 3B Zobrist 2B
  2. Brian Sabean should be commenting on this collision in order to be consistent.
  3. That was amazing, I was not happy when I first saw that he was heading home, but Campana sure has amazing speed.
  4. Is it unlucky when you are only hitting to 1/3 of the field and the defense plays to that 1/3 of the field? Or is it more of a typical outcome? He's just not a single's hitter. What's his AVG every year when you subtract balls that go over the wall? I don't think it's very good. But, that he can hit balls over the wall is why he's probably worth his contract. If you subtract his at-bats that resulted in homers, Pena hit .147 last season. For his career, it would be .189. I think I did the math correctly. If you do the same thing for Babe Ruth, his career BA goes from .342 to .281. I think that you can find similar drops for all power hitters.
  5. A)Dunn B)A-Rod and Fielder C)Stanton, Pena, and Braun D)Heyward, Soto, VMart, Berkman, and Travis Snider WC: to pm
  6. I think that they were concerned about a temperamental fan base. A team like the Blue Jays need someone to market the team around and this is probably the guy. What I don't understand is that they have minimal salary commitments this year, one in which they won't be competing. In two to three years when that team could potentially make a push with young pitching, why would you backload this contract (8,14,14,14,14)? They will still need a couple of pieces plus you know that players like Cecil and Romero among others will be due raises that could limit future spending.
  7. "The Cubs and at least three other teams had been negotiating with the Rays about Garza since the December winter meetings in Lake Buena Vista, Fla." http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/mlb/news/story?id=5998431&campaign=rss&source=CHICAGOHeadlines Those other teams sure were quiet compared to Hendry.
  8. So what are we looking at for a rotation? Zambrano Garza Dempster Gorzellany Wells With guys like Silva still lurking and Diamond coming up to compete as well, does this eliminate Cashner from the rotation (something that I have had my doubts about from the get go) for another year?
  9. With all of the interest that he is drawing, you have to wonder if Pena will have to take a one year contract to rebuild his value.
  10. If we would be willing to trade Theriot, this makes you wonder what we could get for him. In the past I didn't think that he would net a great return, but maybe we could get something of value.
  11. Sultans take Yordy Cabrera SS-OAK
  12. Amazing how in 50 fewer PAs, Soto has very similar numbers to all star catcher brian mccann.
  13. The Sultans select Asher Wojciechowski RHP Blue Jays
  14. The Sultans have selected Delino Deshields Jr.
