My only real BIG concearn about this team is the streakiness of Lee & Ramirez. Sure soriano comes and goes but when Dee and Aram are off they are horrible in the 3 and 4 spots. Not huge now but in a 5 game playoff series........

Lee and Ramirez are 0 for the last 2 games of this series so far.

It's becoming quite a frustrating trend. I just want them to go in their slumps at seperate times for once.

I just wish there slumps weren't so dramatic. Can we get a 3-20 as opposed to 0-28?

If our top three pitchers pitch like they have, our line up is deep enough to overcome this.

I'll take that sixth over him reaching his 10th K of the game.

He could still get it since he'll likely come out for the seventh.

If any team's 3 and 4 hitters go in a slump in a five or seven game playoff series, chances are that team will be in some trouble.

I was just checking on WSI..Theres a topic on this..

ESPN 890 in Boston which is a second fiddle to powerhouse WEEI is reporting that with the Marlins deal dead Theo has offered Manny to the White Sox for Ken Griffey and would pay the 7 million left on Manny's contract.

Manny for Griffey isn't a good trade.

If you're dead set on getting rid of Manny it's not awful.

Griffey is hitting .245/.355/.432 this season...

Manny is hitting .299/.398/.529 this season...

Yeah, that'd be a bad trade.

That's not fair though. If you're getting rid of Manny, you're going to lose production with pretty much any return. Who's going to come in and produce equal to Manny? What option is better for the Red Sox if they are hell bent on getting rid of Manny?

That's true, but there is no reason they should be trading Manny. Despite his problems he's had with management he has still been producing at a high level.

Yeah and if Sori/Aram/Lee get hot like they did last sept is all over. This years O is so much deeper it would be sick if those 3 got hot at the same time.

From a pure baseball perspective, you're absolutely right. But obviously the Red Sox have had enough that they are willing to take a hit to get rid of a headache. And in that scenario, Griffey is the best of the "meh" options.
