The Cubs hit one homer in the first three games of the series combined (credit to Fred for pointing this out last night) and have three today.

Cubs 6 runs on 5 hits

Brewers 1 run on 6 hits

love it

Cubs have Jimmy Ballgame.

Ryan Braun is bunting for base hits.

It's almost unfair.

I've considered making this claim already today, but the 5-game series against the Cards in September 03 still has it for me. This is pretty flippin sweet though.

I hope the Cubs don't have a let down after this series. With an atmosphere like they've had this week, it might be hard to get up for just Pittsburgh. (Sorry Jake!)

I don't really remember a significantly important series last year like this, although I remember a late series against the Reds with a couple of walk offs that really helped us

I don't know if its going to finish this way but this is the prediction I made last night.

I posted this on sportsrant.com this morning at 12:25 AM

Cubs Rich Harden looking for his first win and the Cubs looking to finally win going for their 21st game over .500 (previous games going for 21 over 0-5)

Rich Harden goes 6 2/3 giving up 1 run on a solo shot and 6 hits, he strikes out 9 and walks 1.

The Cubs finally back Harden's good start giving him a 5 run lead 6-1 after 7 innings. The Cubs bullpen looks to blow Harden's outing giving up 2 runs in the 8th, with 1 out in the 8th Jeff Samardijza comes in and closes down the threat.

Marmol comes in with the 3 run lead and gets the Brewers 3,4,5 hitters 1,2,3 for the save and the sweep.

If you want proof i will provide the link it is the 3rd to last post on the page of the link :)

First week of September (forget if it was 2nd thru 5th or 3-6), but point stands - timing of the season definitely gives it the nod.

the real worry is what's happening to harden's stuff? His declining k rate is disconcerting

How dare he not get 10Ks, that BUM!

Four game sweep of the Mets at home, I think in 1989 was pretty awesome as well.
