Maybe if Harden has a mediocre outing the offense will put up enough runs to finally get him a win. His first 3 outings have been so dominating that he's scared his own hitters into sucking in those games.

Coming into this series I would have been fine with a split. Both teams had their pitching set up well, on paper this game look like the most lopsided match-up.

 

With the performances of Lilly, Z and Demster (who were outstanding) our pen is rested and ready.

 

Rich, we need 5 or 6 strong innings and toss the keys to the pen.

 

The burden is on the Cub bats to maintain and finally get Harden some well deserved run support

I hope this is not another one of those 2-1 or 3-2 losses where Harden has 10 Ks in 6 shutout innings then the bulpen blows it. Poor Harden keeps pitching his guts out, only to get screwed by the offense. I hope we aren't due to be owned by another mediocre pitcher again. Id like to see us score a bunch of runs early today.

I think it has more to do with Hart Pooping his pants and not protecting Fielder. This just means Braun wont be protected so I dont know why you drop your best hitter to 5th.

After we got sweept in Boston, Yost changed it up and we started winning.

 

We started winning because our pitching came around not because our pitcher was batting 8th, It was actually working.

He picked the wrong day to do that. Harden has no platoon split, and he strikes out righties and lefties indiscriminately. He'll be going after Fielder regardless of who's behind him. Also, Cubs right handers have humiliated Braun in this series.
