hahahah nice play PU JOLS!

Albert couldn't do anything there except maybe grow an extra inch or three.

How about actually covering the bag on time?

Just rewatched the play and it sure looks like Kosuke fouled the ball off of his toes. It's possible it just took a very odd hop right in front of his foot, though.

But I thought the Cardinals were great and there was no way they weren't going to be in 1st place by the end of the weekend. :rotfl: :rotfl:

I also heard that the Cubs would be 5 games back by the All-star break.

I didn't notice that part of the replay, my bad. I was only looking at the actual throw once he was on the base.

Granted, it's tough on an old Spanish-American war veteran like Pujols.

If the Cubs hold on, the NL part of this road trip hasn't been too bad.

Ok screw it, if Im the Cardinals I move HGH back to pitcher, and just let him pitch from CF, since he seems to know exactly where the ball is going from there.

It was still a horrid throw. The Pixie dust must have blown away from the stadium before that pitch

In all fairness I could have thrown out Ward there.

Or he could have not lollygagged to the base and not forced springer to double clutch 9 out of 10 he makes that throw if he doesn't have to double clutch most likely 10 out of 10.
