I thoroughly enjoyed my view from the 1st base side about 2/3 of the way down the line. The shade was definitely a good place to be.

Since I haven't read the entire thread, was there upheaval when Johnson didn't go halfway so he could score on Lee's "single"? Just curious, because I was pissed when I saw how he played that particular situation.

And WTF was Quade thinking sending Ward? And what was Lou thinking leaving him in to run in the 1st place?

Nothing like being in the upper deck at Busch on a very warm day (in the shade!) with a bunch of idiotic cards fans all around. The fat guys behind me thought fukudome (improper pronunciation) was the funniest thing ever. In addition, the en masse departure of the red sea was awesome.

I said that in the 8th inning, you guys are all late!

TBFIB leave the game early like it's Dodger Stadium?

I saw him do that in the dugout the other day after Fukudome scored a run. It was so nonchalant, which made it that much funnier. Zambrano is so awesome.

Z is awesome.

I'd also like to go on record as saying that the stars and stripes caps actually look really good with the road uniforms.

If hawkcub doesn't show up with Tuesday's GDT by noon tomorrow, I'll put up the next thread to try and keep the mojo going.

He's got until midnight tomorrow night to get it up. Give him time.

Yesterday hurt, but if you told me the Cubs would go 4-3 between SF and STL, I would have been happy with it after the mess at US Cellular.

The key is winning two of three against St. Louis. Sweeping SF and getting swept by STL would still have meant a 4-3 stretch but that's not the same as winning two games against each team.

I think it's the fact that they're all blue. I wish they'd just do away with the red-billed road cap altogether.

In 95, they were better on the road than at home, so they tried the road caps at home. Maybe they should do the opposite this year.

Laura told me noon, but midnight makes more sense according to the rules, so very well.

I could go for that. I never really liked the Red-billed cap (I say this after having bought a red-billed Iowa Cubs hat last weekend, of course :))
