Rick Ankiel on keeping his throwing arm in shape: "keep the weaponry with you...because it can be a weapon."

:-s

Sounds very intelligent.

Was he talking about the syringe he uses for the roids?

In play, run(s)

I'll take it. And the morans at Cox give me the game back.

When I was still in Peoria, for one of the Cubs @ Pitt games that went into extras the CSNC broadcast suddenly switched from the game to the Peoria Pirates (arena football) coach's show. I guess they decided that a coach's show for a team that has failed twice already is more important than a Cubs game. Morons.

hahahah nice play PU JOLS!

Albert couldn't do anything there except maybe grow an extra inch or three.

Or he could have not lollygagged to the base and not forced springer to double clutch 9 out of 10 he makes that throw if he doesn't have to double clutch most likely 10 out of 10.

This has been pointed out to me already but thanks anyways. 8-)

do you leave Marmol in for the 9th since he just got a 1,2,3? AFter Woods struggles yesterday?

No.

Considering we're up 5 runs with an off day tomorrow? No way. No sense in having Marmol throw another inning.

I think during the Red Sox/Cardinals game awhile back they switched from the game to an infomertial, while the game was in extra innings.

Wood threw a lot of pitches, plus we have a 5 run lead. I'd put in Lieber or Wuertz.

Well, we did bring him in with a 5 run lead. We really should abuse his arm some more.

Is Marmol back?

Not sure, but I think rumors of his physical "demise" have been somewhat exaggerated.

He didn't look at all "tired" to me there.
