The TBS people are talking about Kazmier for Victor Zambrano, so what does TBS do? Go to a camera showing Big Z. Good job TBS.

I pray to God that Carlos Zambrano and Victor Zambrano have nothing else in common.

Man if Cotts can keep up his pitching, 7 consecutive scoreless outings, that makes me a little happier about the bullpen, Howry has given up 1 run in his last 6 outings. Marmol is looking to be back on track (*knocks on wood*), And wood had one of his worst outings but it was the first one in quite some time if i'm not mistaken.

we could use any help we can get a starter pitcher and maybe a nice LH reliever for pitching but really I'm just worried about starting pitching because I don't think marshall can do what he did today game in and game out. I would just like if he could do that every 3 starts or so, but I think we'll be going after a starter for sure.

We'll see what happens though but recently besides marmol (but he is looking better), our bullpen has been very good and that makes me happy.

sweep would've been nice, but 2 out of 3 is solid and we're heading home to play bad teams. once j.j. hardy comes down off his cycle the brewers will hopefully lose a few as well.

We really needed that. After the Sox series, I said Id be satisfied with a 4-6 road trip, and I stick to it.

Now lets go 6-0/5-1 at home vs. the knockaround guys of the NL and enter the second half on a roll.

I just pray that we don't make the Reds look like the Rays and that Dunn doesn't go off like it's the world series for the Reds.

Thanks for not spiraling into a losing streak, Cubs. :)

Yesterday hurt, but if you told me the Cubs would go 4-3 between SF and STL, I would have been happy with it after the mess at US Cellular.

Two out of three against the Cardinals at STL is always good.

Man what a horrible win today. With 16 hits they should have scored more than 7 runs. Plus Marshalls long ball rates are really worrying me.

*waits for pessimism police.....*

Just kidding. Nice win today. I guess momentum is overrated in baseball.

Now I will concede to you that a Dusty Baker managed team, I could see a loss like last night carrying over. Not saying it would have, but that's the type of situation(a clueless scapegoating manager) where I could see some negative momentum affecting things.

100% agree. Cotts has been very good.

Eyre was also doing very well up until just before he went on the DL. It'll be nice if the Cubs can have two lefties in the bullpen who can shut things down.

It was nice to see the Cubs bounce back after a tough loss yesterday. Great outing by Marshall.

Since we've played the Cards twice at Busch, when do we play them at home? Looking forward to that series.

CUBS are 30-1 when they score 7 runs or more.

Scott Eyre and Rich Hill??

Scott Eyre has been good but hes on the DL for now but it will help when he comes back, so we may not need another LH reliever. But if your looking at Rich Hill for help your looking to the wrong guy I just don't think he is going to get where he needs to be mentally to help us this year, I actually do not want to see him back up in the majors this year it can only cause him more problems.

Nothing like being in the upper deck at Busch on a very warm day (in the shade!) with a bunch of idiotic cards fans all around. The fat guys behind me thought fukudome (improper pronunciation) was the funniest thing ever. In addition, the en masse departure of the red sea was awesome.
