Baron Davis and Elton Brand opted out of their contracts last night. This could create another trading partner or two for the Bulls - Hinrich to Golden State? To the Clippers?

Brand is likely to re-sign with LA.

I think Baron could easily find himself with the Clippers.

I wish we could get rid of Larry Hugues.

Some fans on my Rockets board were wanting to trade for him. They must be some inbread texans or something.

I'm not sure I've ever heard Marbury labeled underrated. Sure, the numbers are nice but does he actually help a team win? He's certainly a cut below from Nash, Kidd, and Payton and I would take several young PGs over what he gave you in the prime of his career.

Some guys are just stat compilers on average or lousy teams. Should people look back on this era 20 years from now and consider Zach Randolph, Marbury, or Abdur-Rahim some of the better players of their day?

I also have very little doubt that Rose is a more complete PG that Marbury. I'd also be disappointed if his career on the Bulls took a similar arc.

I agree with some of what you said but theres a big difference between compiling rebounds on a crappy team and compiling assists.

And with that ends any glimmer of hope that Brand would return to Chicago. The Clippers are going to be formidable if B-Dizzle, Brand and Kaman can stay healthy.

I was disapointed to see Eric Gordon go to the Clippers now it looks like it will be a nice place for him. Should be pretty good situation for him I would think.

BE interesting to see him in a situation where he isn't the man. Most guys that come into the NBA so young are either #1 or 2 options or development projects. Gordon is not a project, and he'd be the 4th option on that team. I always thought the Clippers would be a great fit because he could pretty much do whatever he wanted on a horrible team.

He'd still have to ask his Dad first.

It seems like a better fit for him long term gives a chance to develop he has alot of things to work on needs to really work like his ball handling. Plus with Baron Davis on the team they won't expect him to be a point gaurd.

Heh, totally forgot about Gordon.

at least it wasn't a motorcycle

Seriously! I think Jay Williams talked to him after he was signed by the Bulls. Hopefully Rose is smarter than Williams was.

won't last long ... Hornets got good attendance becasue they are one of the closest thus most popular teams to OKC plus the sympathy factor. The Sonics are like some foreign guy walking into town yelling LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME! I am the best ... except for we can't win.

Uhhh, trust me, you don't know what you're talking about.

No one in the entire state of oklahoma cared about the hornets before they moved to OKC. In fact, I would say that the most popular team in Oklahoma prior to the 2-year Hornets thing was the Mavs, who were a bit of a rival to the Hornets, and hte fans abandoned Dallas immediately. The Sonics will get support because they're a young, athletic team in an area that is DYING for a pro sports teams. Everyone knows they aren't going to be great or even good at the moment.

Screw Oklahoma City. I know it's not their fault but I still can't believe how scummy this whole mess is. Seattle is getting robbed of their team for no reason whatsoever.

Dude it just rains too much there and I've heard people are pretty sleepless. That would make it hard to play.

They owner was losing a lot of money with a team that had a terrible lease in a crappy arena, and he sold the organization to a billionaire from a city that had fantastic attendance while hosting a transplant team from another area. What did he think was going to happen?

Seattle isn't getting robbed. They barely even supported the team when the whole S.O.S movement needed them the most.
