Most shocking news ever - Joey Dorsey was talking out of his ass:

Reporter: It’s not like Joey [Dorsey] doesn’t talk a lot, but he told us where you’re going yesterday. Have you spoken to him about it? Were you shocked when he came out and told you, you were going to Miami, Beasley to Chicago? What are your thoughts about what Joey said?

Derrick Rose: Joey is going to be Joey, everybody knows that. He was just in the arcade room, and I was asking him what he was thinking when he said that. And he was just playing around. If anyone knows, it wouldn’t be Joey.

I won't say he was talking out of his ass, I think Joey was just being a kid. I think he was just playing on the early "rumors" that Rose would be a Bull, and he thought he was some fun with the media, and pick the opposite. I see no harm, I just see a kid having a little fun.

Certainly no harm.

I think it would be hilarious if Dorsey ends up a Chicago Bull.

I don't think it'd be funny to see him on my favorite NBA team. It would be funny if he ends up on the Pistons.

I think you'd love Dorsey if he played for the Bulls. He's kind of gotten a bad rap IMO.

Dorsey is Ben Wallace, except for some reason he acts like he's good at basketball. He's somehow more annoying than Noah.

Haha, this made me laugh.

10 rpg and 2 bpg in 25.2 mpg is being good at basketball.

No, it's being a blunt instrument playing in Conference USA.

Take out the Kansas game when he was in foul trouble all game and he averaged 10.4 rpg and 2.4 bpg in the NCAA tournament. He pulled down 15 in the Final Four game against Kevin Love. Earlier in the season he pulled down 13 and had 4 blocks against Roy Hibbert and Georgetown. Joey Dorsey is good at what he does, regardless of the competition he's playing against.

From what I've read, Beasley wasn't too happy with his height. The only height I know for sure from last Friday is Russell Westbrook was 6-2 without shoes. I think we'll see the official heights released tomorrow. Also interested in Beasley's wingspan.

You're right, he got outplayed by the best college big man of the last 10 years. He sucks.

That's not just kid stuff. I still get a kick out of starting rumors at work just so I can see how long it takes before I hear the rumor from someone else and how much the rumor changes within a couple of days. It's really fun when you're in the Army to start rumors like "Battalion just got a tasking to send 5 people on to Iraq/Afganistan to support 12 month taskers, and they will be leaving in 90 days." Two days later, someone tries to tell you that 12 people are going to be gone within a month and everyone is freaking out because we're already short handed as it is.

Hahaha. You're kid at heart.

Anybody who looks like Noah, but still gets the "ladies", is alright with me. That and fact, that he "brings it" on the court every night, and I could tolerate the occasional annoyance of Noah.

I can't imagine anyone making over $2 million a year with celebrity status not being able to get ladies.

Don't matter.

The Tribune said this today,

"Would the Bulls give up the No. 1 draft position to the Heat in exchange for Wade and the No. 2 overall selection? Or some combination of other players and picks?"

I would hope so. Wade and Beasley or just Rose? I'm going with the former.

they would be silly to not make a move like that if it presented itself

No.1 and Gordon or Hinrich for No.2 and Wade

SOLD

They supposedly want Rose, right? Would they have any interest in getting another guard to go along with him?

if they lose Wade, what do they have left in terms of guards?

Posted (edited)

Throw in Thomas, besides his inability to progress beyond just a leaper or mature as a person, his role would be reduced with someone like Beasley.

That would be ideal getting Wade and Beasley, but I can't see it happening.
