In some ways that is a valid comparasion, but the biggest different is Iggy is an athlete who can slash to the basket, whereas Deng is basically a spot up shooter (hence that during his stay in Chicago there had been off and on talks about moving Deng to PF). But Iggy is a better rebounder (200 more rebounds), a better passer (1300 and change more assists), quick hands (450 more steals) in their careers which both started in 2004, so no I don't see it as a lateral move, but an improvement. The Heat have load on athletes, and the Bulls have to match that upgrade in athlethicism to have a chance. So yeah, I think Iggy is an improvement over Deng.
