  1. Joe Girardi says :hello: . With that said, I am definately in favor of taking voting away from the fans (because as a whole, fans have no clue how to vote) and removing the "every team has to be represented" clause.
  2. I don't know that Marian Hossa pickup is looking mighty fine....
  3. thank god omar infante got a well-deserved spot Votto: .988 OPS/.425 wOBA Infante: .721 OPS/.320 wOBA Wow. I can see it now, Rivera .v. Infante for HFA in the World Series.
  4. Or they attempt to get another OF on a short term deal after Kosuke is ideally traded and let Colvin go back to the minors. My prediction on our OF situation for 2011: Fukudome traded away in offseason, Soriano in LF, Byrd in CF, and Colvin in RF to start the year. By June, our starting OF will be Soriano in LF, Brett Jackson in CF and Marlon Byrd in RF with Colvin settled in as a solid 4th OFer, where he will likely remain for his career as a Cub. And if Colvin proves he is an starting RF without a platoon, what then?
  5. Should Hendry get another chance? Yes. With another organization.
  6. 3-4 more days of all this. Joy. That can only be good for the Bulls (if you want to read anything into it that way...it'd be wise not to). Broussard (don't believe anybody about anything regarding James) believes the quicker the decision the better it is fr Cleveland. The later is draws out the better the chances at him leaving. And with him pushing his decision to after his camp, can't be seen as anything more then a positive for the Bulls.
  7. The Cubs are sooooooooo pathetic. I wish WGN would remove the rest of the Cubs game from the schedule.
  8. Absolutely shocking that you say this after he thinks it's possible or likely that the Bulls get shut out. I'm going to laugh when LeBron signs with the Cavs and I read you saying that LeBron doesn't care about winning and will never win anything. Bucher is an idiot because he's an idiot. "Kobe Bryant played his last game as a Laker" was exactly his finest hour. I didn't call him an idiot because the Bulls MIGHT strike out, cause I know the Bulls MIGHT strike out, I call him an idiot he takes the simpliest info he gets and turns it into a full blown story regardless if that little nugget of info is true or not. I know he isn't the only one that does it, because they all do and that is why they are idiots. And maybe James will stay in Cleveland, but it would fly against a lot of James' motives. Look if James stays in Cleveland, I will respect the man for remaining loyal, but this is also his career, and he must put that above "loyalty". (Loyalty is an overplayed card in todays sports, imo) If he returns to Cleveland he needs to make it as a business decision, not an emotional decision. The Cavs are a 60 win team, not because they are actually good, cause they are not, they are a 60 win team because of James. lol "simpliest" You sir are a stalker, I implore you to put me on you "foes" list, so you can stop nickpicking everything I say. Jerk.
  9. You don't around closers, period, and that includes Rivera.
  10. I don't know about that. The Cavs are designed to win 60 regular season games because they can ride LeBron, but when it comes to the playoffs they are not a great playoff team. They don't have enough secondary offensive weapons. Obviously LeBron in a best-case scenario wants to stay in Cleveland. LeBron might be telling himself that the Cavs did get him some help with Jamison, and if he hadn't had a bum elbow they could have won a championship this year and just might next year. That's the only real reason LeBron could justify staying there. there's about 30,000,000 other reasons why LeBron could justify staying there, too. And if the rumors are true that Phil Knight said if Lebron signs with Chicago he'll make James the richest contract in Nike history, that can more then make up for the $30 mill he would leave on the table. I don't think money is the issue with James, seeing as he is going to get a boatload whereever he goes. I think the issue is playing for championships

  12. Depends on if you like Family Guy. I kinda do, but Family Guy isn't going to get James to the NBA Finals, or win it for him. So these "gimmicks" that the Knicks and Cavs did basically tells me that they WANT to waste James time. Unsolicited advice I would give Lebron James: you must serve no master but your ambition.
  13. Bucher is an idiot.
  14. LeBron is not winning a championship in Cleveland unless Chris Paul comes there. Which is why I don't think he has made up his mind, yet. And thx about the info of Goff. I think Wade/Bosh is a backup plan in place just in case James says no ty.
  15. Who is Jason Goff and should we believe him: http://twitter.com/jgoff670
  16. Agreed. The price for star players are always higher inside the division. I don't have a problem with either trading Marmol, or trading him within the division, but yes you have to get Alonso back in the deal. And if you do, you official kick off a rebuilding stage for the Cubs. I dont know too much about Alonso, but if hes a top 1B prospect, Id be all about the swap, however, with Cordero, theyd essentialy be trading him for a set up man, and if hes that good of a prospect, they could probably get more. Also, if hes really that good, they might prefer to wait until the offseason or next year to trade Votto instead. But this is Dusty Baker we are talking about.

  18. with the team he has. i said lebron needs more. I know this is going to turn into an argument but.. The Cavs have more than the Bulls do in talent right now. The CAvs roster is a hodgepodge of useless players, overpaid players, and players that never was. The Cavs wn 120+ games the last two yrs on the strength of Lebron James. And now that the Cavs have maxed out their assests, if or when they lose James they would be a 30-35 win team or worse. So yes, it is quite debateable that the Cavs have more, which I don't believe is this case.
  19. wade is a spy You know what, that actually could be true. Nice catch. I don't buy Wade's a "spy" theory. What's his endgame? Does he and Riley don't already who the Bulls are covetting? Are they living their lives with their heads in the sand? Did the Bulls not meet with Boozer and Lee on Friday? Did the Bulls not meet up with Bosh on Friday night? Isn't the Bulls interview time still 2:30pm on Saturday? Tell me, what is Wade's endgame for being a spy inside the Bulls org? Wade is not a Bulls employee, thus GarPax would only tell him the rough draft of what they plan to do, so I doubt Wade would get any details about the Bulls plans. This Wade is a spy crap, is pure fantasy, one that needs to stay with the Knicks.
  20. You think the Bulls don't know that? I pretty sure the Bulls are using Wade as much as Wade is using the Bulls. Seems like a lot of effort just to get Nate Robinson to sign on the dotted line
  21. You think the Bulls don't know that? I pretty sure the Bulls are using Wade as much as Wade is using the Bulls.
  22. Yep. And if the Bulls want to sign Boozer, they have him. I think this is nothing more then a courtesy call between the Bulls and Wade. it's impossible to shake my head enough at your posts You're an butt. Adds something to the conversation or butt out.
  23. THE only way I'd trade Rose is if it was for a guy like Chris Paul, other then that I don't see the point in trading Rose, not to mention possibly pissing of LBJ who might be coming to Chicago because of Rose.
  24. It's a matter of opinion. I think it is fair to say, Jordan doesn't win a title without Pippen in Chicago, thus shared partnership. I don't think they are related. Pippen was a huge part of the success, but that was Jordan's team. Everyone knew he ran the show. I'm not debating it being Chicago being Jordan's team, I'm just saying Pippen deserves every bit of credit that Jordan gets.
  25. The difference is, Chicago is a neutral team for both James and Wade. James didn't want to go to Miami to be the 2nd fiddle on WADE'S TEAM". In Chicag they would be in share partnership, a 2010 version of Jordan/Pippen. That's a small difference but maybe meaningful. And no one was ever confused about who the top dog was between MJ and Pip. It was Jordan's team, no doubt, BUT who got the toughest defensive assignment every night in Chicago? Pippen deserves EVERY bit the credit for those 6 championships as Jordan does.
