  1. Yeah, but Jackson is coming off back to back years in which his numbers are right there with the elite WRs in the game (maybe a step behind) . A 2nd rd pick would definately be a better spent pick then the pick spent on Adams. Unless he dies too. Which is highly unlikely, tho I do admit it is a possibillity. The Bears luck ain't that bad, is it?

  3. Nathan Horton (Flo) traded to Boston, according to Bob MacKenzie. If this is true then Boston got themselves something they desparately needed..........scoring. Despite playing in only 65 games Horton had something like 57 points. Here's the sad part, he would have led the Bruins in scoring.
  4. I think people are stuck on the one good year that Nolasco has had as a major leaguer in 2008, so yeah, Nolasco has essentially been crap as a ML pitcher. Hidsight suggest that the Cubs got a pretty bad OF, for a pretty bad starting pitcher.
  5. Bad kujay bad. [-X This site is not, I repeat, NOT a relieable source for rumors. The creator of that site have proven that 99% of the rumors are eithe completely made up, and are existing rumors with the creators of the site on twist. Here's my favorite about about this article: The Hawks *could* lose Hammer due to a finanical crunch (I believee they want to keep Hammer and will do everything they can to do so) but to think the Hawks will entertain the thought of trading Seabrook who has another year on his contract is pure stupidity. You could lose one of Hammer or Seabrook but not both, and IMO ultimately I think both will be a part of the Hawks core for a long time. Everybody on that lise not name Hammer and Seabrook can be dealt under the right set of circumstances, but Hammer and Seabrook it would have to be a special set of circumstances (ie, getting an offer similar to the one that Anaheim got from Philly for Chris Pronger). The articles didn't provide any new information that we didn't already know.

  7. I guess their point is you get a servicable and cheaper D player back, as well as a forward with upside and also cheaper. There are 2 ways you can look at what the Hawks have to do, you can trade for slightly lesser skilled veterans for your younger and more skilled players, of you can try to use this situation to stockpile prospects draft picks and younger players that haven't reached their potential yet. I think the Hawks are looking more of the later. I just don't want to be trading $7 million defensemen for worse $5 million defensemen, or $4 million forwards for worse $3 million forwards. I want super-cheap young players or nothing at all. Yeah this is tempting though because Kaberle is in the last year of his deal. So you get him, and don't forget he is pretty good, and then after this year you have him gone and you don't have to pay Campbell for the next five [expletive] years. Which I think we all agree is a good thing. Losing Sharp is gonna hurt no matter how it happens. But a trade like this is one way to stay real competitive and solve a long-term contract problem. Quick question: who's to say the Hawks have to keep both players? IMO Toronto has neither the drafts picks or the prospects to deal so you think outside the box. Acquire Grabovski and Kaberle and you have two players who are so much easier to flip to another team if that is what the team wants. This kind of trade opens up possible deals that you couldn't get with Campbell.
  8. I mixed him up with Anthony Wallace (LB out of Dallas). Oh, ok....
  9. Brown, ASJ, Vaughters and Charles Jackson, please. If you are talking about James Vaughters (LB out of GA) he has verbally committing to Stanford, and I really doubt anybody can pul him from Stanford. He chose Stanford over OSU, and Bama. So I doubt Texas (if that is the team your rooting for) can pull Vaughters.
  10. He's also a Top Notch QB prospect. of course he is. but he's highly likely to end up getting paid millions to play baseball and that's not easy to turn down. Maybe he will end up playing baseball, but it's not guarantee.
  11. He's also a Top Notch QB prospect.
  12. So......not good enough to be good, and not bad enough to be bad. The Cubs are stuck in the baseball purgatory known as mediocrity. IMO there is no worse in sports then being mediocre. When you're good, you're good, and when you are bad, you're bad, but when you're stuck in mediocrity there is a certain delusion within said team that believes they are one or two players away from being good. I much rather be crap then mediocrity. Now, don't go getting all crazy. There's PLENTY of time left for them to be bad. I hope so because the Cubs have a history of disappointing the fans one way or another.

  14. What, me take a paycut? Not a chance.
  15. Bubba Starling committed to Nebraska.
  16. To me there is mix messages in this appearances: 1: He appearances but only at the end of the rally. He stays long enough to make a statement and then leaves as quickly as he came. 2: He mentions Akron by name, but not the city of Cleveland or even the state of Ohio. 3: He says "Everything he does is for THIS (meaning Akron) city." Why not say that about the city that you know play in....like Cleveland. All in all, he needed to be there, but he didn't seem like he wanted to be there. Almost as if he felt, out of loyalty to Akron, that he needed to take time out of his business schedule (which happens to be the most stressful time of his life) and pop in and say hello to the folks who made this rally.
  17. "chicago"? I didn't mean to quote Chicago, but I do think he longs of retiring back to his home in Tampa.
  18. I found it hilarious, but apparently LBJ rally in Akron was held today. Just as people were leaving the InfoCision Stadium on the University of Akron campus, James showed up literally at the last second. He collected his crystal ball trophy that the fans got him and he said: Take it however you want.
  19. Nashville traded Jason Arnott to NJ for Matt Halischuk and '11 2nd rd pick.
  20. Old, bad, and boring is a terrible combination. But hey at least the Cubs can pull it off.
  21. It's clear Lou is tired of "Chicago" and thus the two sides should agree to a buyout and send Lou to his retirement village. They won't because of the stubbornness and ego of all parties involved, but it would be the right thing to do.
  22. Interesting that Ryan Parent is going back to the Nashville organization.
  23. I've already fall for the schtick once before (2009), I won't get burned again.
  24. I had this exact same feeling last year, and up until June 1st. Just like 2009, that break, that winning streak is destined never to come.
  25. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/ You could potentially add the Rockies to the mix.
