  1. Is this a joke? Will he even get half that? No, but hey both NY and NJ are going to need SF very shortly.
  2. Good. Now that he is free from stalking Erin Andrews, he can now get back to what he does best and have his face run into another person's fist.
  3. It sounds like like the Bulls wants a big man (rather it is Bosh, Boozer, or worse case scenerio Amar'e) in the bag before they go chat with LBJ6. Then pitch the ideal or Rose/Noah and said FA PF to LBJ6. Not a bad plan, but I guess whoever can get Bosh, or Johnson, or whoever committed to them the quickiest/earliest, then my guess that team will have a legitimate chance at landing James. Well, that's exactly what the article says. Good job with the detective skills. I didn't read the article, Bob. I don't know why I quote the article, but I didn't read it, I was going off speculation from another site. So............excuse me.
  4. I would hate losing Hester, but I would definately part with Devin in a VJax deal.

  6. Signing Nowitzki is like the Cubs signing Moises Alou a few year ago, while still productive, neither player can get your over the hump. I don't really expect a huge decline for Dirk, but Dirk alone would make this a disappointing summer.
  7. Knicks are definately out there. To basically warned him that should he not join them he should be shaking in his boots against JJ, Bosh or Amar'e is flat out juvenile. If it stays in Cleveland then yeah he might have concern, but if it Chicago...........uh no. Of course all of this is based on NY getting JJ, Bosh or Amar'e. If the reports are true that ATL is offering $126 mill for JJ, no way JJ takes off for NY. Bosh basically won't go anywhere without Lebron, and Amar'e is looking for reasons to stay in PHX. In a matter of two years NY could be going from being a frontrunner in the 2010 FA Class to striking out. In other words, the have no room to be this bold in there comments towards James. And it doesn't surprise me that Maverick Carter and LBJ have essentially lukeworm interests in the Knicks, at best. This reeks of desparation by the Knicks.
  8. Congratulations to the South Carolina Gamecocks.
  9. Does Reinsdorf go to Akron with GarPax, Rose, Noah, and Thibodeau? Yes. Reinsdorf/Paxson nearly had LA8 convinced to leave LA for Chicago, so I imagine they will use some variation of that gameplan.
  10. Damnit to hell, I really hate it when I pitcher goes down like that. It reminds me of Tony Saunders. I hope it not career threatening.
  11. Can't be the Cobs, they have no O. :good: The Super or Mega Loser will be fine, then. You do know that there's an "O" in there too, right? Fine...........how Failure or Deadbeats....I dang well know there isn't O's in those words... :D
  12. Don't etch Nabokov's name into a Flyers' jersey, yet.
  13. Can't be the Cobs, they have no O. :good: The Super or Mega Loser will be fine, then.
  14. I reserve judgement on that until we see Kane at his full potential, which I believe we haven't seen yet.
  15. Uh, how can the players be charged with tampering? Because these players are not "FREE AGENTS" yet, they are still employed by the current team until July 1st. As such, these players are still a respresentative of said teams. Which means, like their organizations these players cannot BY NAME talk about another team's player who is still technically under contract. Hence, tampering.
  16. Why are still Cubs, why not Cobs, or Mega Loser, or Walking Dead, or whatever?
  17. This situation is so fluid, I doubt there is a clear frontrunner. I think ESPN wants their analysts to put a frontrunner just to get people to watch Sportscenter, and follow on their websites. Right now, I think it's up in the air. I stil really doubt James/Bosh or Wade will take less to play together. I don't know how strong their PA is, but if it is half as strong if not as strong as the MLBPA, I really doubt they will be approving of the three top names of the FA class leaving money on the table. And in the case of James and Bosh they would be leaving even more on the table then Wade would. When all else is said it is money talks and BS walks. And to expect any of the three to take less money to play together is really dreaming. Besides it is too good to happen, so it won't.
  18. I'm not concern about Detroit. Until they proved it on the field, I love the Bears chances against the Lions.
  19. At least after this series, the Cubs won't have to worry about the Pirates again till late August/early September.
  20. Which is why I think Beasley has become a very hard player to trade. Teams are not stupid they know if they acquire Beasley that essentially give Miami 2 legit Super Stars and perhaps on the road for a third (UMFan is correct, Miami cannot sign three Max FA, even with trading Beasley) so I think that idea, coupled with Riley asking for way too much=Beasley untradeable right now. Hell, Miami has been trying to trade Beasley for over a year now. This hoopla about Wade/James/Bosh will die down when people realize the unliklihood of it happening.
  21. Agreed. Bosh is ok with being Wade's lapdog, but Lebron he has a Global Icon image to retain, and how can he keep that image up if he runs 2nd fiddle on the Heat? Or how do you tell Wade to become 2nd fiddle of his OWN team, the one he help win a championship in the nt so distance past? Neither will take a backseat to the other. I don't care how hard Riley sells it, James simply won't buy it. GarPax knows it is very important to blow James' mind. Everybody knows the Bulls have James' attention, moreso then any other team, it will be up to GarPax to "seal the deal." I mean if Paxson and JR was thisclose of selling Chicago to LA8, then I am pretty confident they can sell Chicago James, not that James needs to be sold Chicago, cause I think he is already sold. I think James is wondering will the Bulls stop trying to make the team better once James and another FA sign there? Will they pay out for guys like Rose and Noah? I'm nt a JR fan, but he has said he would pay if he KNEW his team would be a championship contender. But those are the type of questions James wants answered on Thursday. If they can satisfy his curiosity, then James is ours.
  22. And the last couple of days the hot rumor of the days were James and Bosh (and perhaps Johnson) to Chicago. So it's just a scenerion, one that is possible, but IMO, not very likely.
  23. lol, which time? It was the past in which you quoted SAS and made counterpoints to everything he said. I couldn't find it, but I know it is there.
  24. Yeah, but it is virtualy impossible for Miami to land both Bosh and Lebron and re-sign Wade. A lot of chips have to fall for that to happen before Miami could sign all three. Not 100% impossible, but near. Personally, Miami would be better off signing a guy like Bosh, work out a sign-n-trade for Gay and fill the roster with good compimentary players, over putting all your eggs into one basket (James/Bosh/Wade) and HOPING you get the trio. And look at UMFan go at Screamin' A. Smith over at Realgm. Man, he's on a roll.
