  1. I'm wondering who "multiple sources" are personally......I actually thought that this WOULD stay a secret until the announcement........I guess we can hope on until it's confirmed somewhere though. This is a nothing story. So unless Newsday sources is either James, Carter or Leon Rose, I wouldn't put too much stock into it. Just more hype for Thursday night.
  2. "Multiple sources" my ass. This is newsday way of trying to get new subscribers. The ONLY people who know where James is going are James/Carter and Leon Rose. So unless any and all of them are letting the cat out of the bag already, I really doubt the Newsday report is accurate. Kinda like James is flying to Miami to meet with Riley, when in actuality he was playing softball. Multiple sources....{scoffs} more like someone telling a friend "I am going to make a guess will you back up my guess, so we can be used as scources.
  3. This myth has already been debunked. If he doesn't come to Chicago, it won't be because he doesn't want to follow Michael. How has it been debunked? Because a few people in the media said they don't think it's an issue? Either way, if it's true that a big part of the Bulls pitch was about Jordan, then I think that was a horrible, horrible mistake. James himself has said he had no problems following Jordan. If he means it is another story.

  5. There "in" the running, but I think they chances are slipping each day. Cleveland is a vastly overrated 60 team. If there isn't a major trade (cause there is nobody on the FA market that could convince him to stay) in the next 24 hours that gets Cavs a major 2nd star, I don't see Cleveland as being viable. And if he does stay..... :bye: at championships. ATP I don't know where he is going, and 99.999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 of the people that follow this story don't know where he is going. You can argue for the Bulls, Cavs, Knicks, Nets, Heat, and hell you could also argue Dallas and maybe the Clippers as possibly getting James. Some are more obvious, but still an argument can be made for all of those teams.
  6. UMFan, I believe made a good point a few a day or so ago (on another site) when news broke that Lebron was holding a press conference to announce his intentions, he said something to the affect that you can't trust ESPN (or it's reporters) right now because of the conflict of interests that ESPN has with showing James press conference. This kind of information is leak to help pump up viewership for tomorrow night. Could James be meeting with Riley tomorrow, that may be true, but unless Riley is going to Greenwich (which would be awkward) or there having a meeting by phone, I wouldn't read too much into this. Unless Miami can trade Beasley, there not getting James, plus Bosh (especially) and Wade are not going to take a paycut to make it happen. I know what Broussard said, but I just don't see the superteam happening.
  7. With the cap going up to $58 mill, Miami could offer Lebron the max, provided they can move Beasely. You know teams, they know Miami is trying to build superteam and a lot of teams don't want a hand in that, thus Beasley doesn't seemed to be highy valued right. And I really doubt both Bosh and Wade will take less, and we know James won't take less and be Wade's lapdog. Never say never tho about Miami. You would think the Bulls are in prime position, but who really knows. So I will remain passive about the situation. If we get him, I will go apecrazy, but if not, oh well.
  8. There is so much false information being leaked right now that it is impossible to tell which info is legit and which info is bad. ATP any information regarding James should be taken with a grain of salt, cause nobody can prove it's real.
  9. You think Carlos Boozer + 3 point shooter + young guy development - Hinrich - Miller = 20 game improvement? I don't think that, personally. Personally I see a 5-8 game improvement, especially if Noah stays healthy. But how many more wins would the Bulls have had last year if Rose/Noah were healthy all season? That was a safe estimate. I think they could improve by more then 10 games, but going from 41 wins to about 46-48 wins especially with a rookie head coach seems to be about right.

  11. Looking the stats, I'd take Boozer at $16 mill over Amar'e at $20 mill.
  12. It sounds like the Bulls are targeting Carlos Boozer. I like Lee better at this point. He's younger, less injury risk, and while he's been horribad defensively he tries hard. I think he could go from awful to not terrible on D under Thibs and playing his real position in a defensive oriented system. My guess is the Bulls are going to give both Boozer and Lee nearly identical offers. The first one to accept will be the one the Bulls get. The gameplan has changed from hoping to get an elite player and building around said player/Rose and Noah to trying to build a deep team.
  13. It sounds like the Bulls are targeting Carlos Boozer.
  14. It doesn't matter, Boozer will follow the money.
  15. You can't discount Miami, but they are behind the eight ball in that Toronto have stated publicly they didn't like what Miami was offering, thus making it hard for Miami to land Bosh. Then you throw in the fact that Bosh isn't going to Cleveland, or there is no room in NY for Bosh and Amar'e, which leaves re-sign with Toronto and trying to work something out with either NJ or Chicago. I don't know why Houston doesn't get more love for Bosh then they currently do.
  16. It may have that feel, but James knows he ain't winning a championship with Dan Tony and Amar'e.
  17. So, everybody not name James or to a lesser degree Maverick Carter, are in the dark as to where James is going. I don't see the Knicks, but unfortunately it wouldn't surprise me if he stuns everybody and picks New Jersey.
  18. This confuses me. A little while ago he announces he will make his decision on his future on Thursday, yet this comes out where he is having a planned conference call with Bosh and Wade on Wednesday? Does James know where he is going or not? Assuming the report is true, LeBron is trying one last time to get Bosh. Yeah, but Bosh has made it perfectly clear he doesn't want to play in Cleveland, even with James. I read on another site, and this is slightly grasping at straws, is that James is going to use the Boys and Girls as his escape plan. Think about think who will villified James if on the same night he leaves Cleveland, he donates millions of dollars to a charity? Only the hardcore fans. I know it's stretching, but who knows.

  20. He's staying in Cleveland. Even with Amar'e, the Knicks roster is still a pathetic bunch as a whole, and it would take him a minimum of at least three years to win in NY. That's if NY media don't murder him before he wins.
  21. Really seems like both those dudes made their decisions within a few hours of each other. Considering how much we heard about Bosh wanting to play with LBJ, there's a good chance they've agreed to play somewhere together, right? I'm worried about the Miami thing happening again And it could stil happen, but what hurts Miami is the lack of a decent center on their roster. The fact that Miami only has two signed players on their roster could bite them in the butt. Not discounting Miami or NJ, but the Bulls seem to be in a nice position, right now.
  22. They can do whatever the hell they want to, just not with the Bulls. If they need help getting a business started, fine. If they need to get a recommendation for a job, so be it. I just don't think the Bulls should sell the soul just to get one player. Hilarious coming from an Alabama fan. What does me being an Alabama have anything to do with this? Uness your stretching which you seem to be. Edit NM I get your dumbass implication. It's wrong in so many ways, but that's ok you are encourage to have your opinions, especially if they are wrong.

  24. 1: I get that superstars get treated differently. Didn't say otherwise. 2: I never said I wanted him to be treated like Taj Gibson. I said his "boys" should not be given the same power they had in Cleveland. They are rumors they ran the joint even without James there. Don't know if it's true, but there are rumors. 3: I do want to win. I'd offer James just about anything he wants, short of giving his boys "special privileges." James should get the perks, the special privileges NOT HIS HOMIES. That's all I said.
