  1. Are you kidding me, SSR? Gimme a break. I didn't say Rose was better, all I said was Rose wasn't a "worse point guard." If you are talking about "worse point guard" I assume you are talking about guys like Toney Douglas, Baron Davis, Andre Miller, Rajon Rondo, Jameer Nelson, etc. Derrick is a step behing Deron, just like Deron is a step behind Chris Paul, but Derrick has the talent to at least reach Deron Williams status, if not surpass it.
  2. Don't know why, but all of a sudden I'm hungry. :-k :D
  3. Same here. But one could argue that Texas needed Lee more then NY and that the Yankees could afford to pass on Lee.
  4. So the Bulls are trying to recreate Utah with a worse point guard? That'll end well. I wouldn't call Rose a "worse point guard" then Deron Williams.
  5. I've heard Deng/Gibson and a conditional 1st (I would assume Top 3 type protection) to Philly for Iggy and either Kopano or Green. I would do that trade with the re-signing Miller in mind.
  6. I will happy for both of the Heat fans if they win a title.
  7. [expletive] San Jose. Don't they have enough talent already? To be honest I thought they would go after Niemi, and they still might after the Hawks match Hammer. I don't see a scenerio in which they don't match Hammer even if it cost them Niemi. But considering how good the Hawks offense and their defense is, they could still get a decent goals, ala Turco, and not miss a beat.
  8. Just what the Yankees needed, another starting pitcher. And if the Yankees get Lee what a crappy couple of years for Cleveland sports. CC Sabathia, Cliff Lee, Court Jester James all leaving, with two going to the Yankees. Man, I actually feel bad for the city of Cleveland.
  9. I can't believe the Legion of Doom is now a reality.
  10. I think if you want to beat the Heat you have to do it the first year when they still adjusting to each other and having no depth. But if and when they developed even an average bench, they'll be virtually impossible to stop. That is until Wade hurts himself, I mean get broken.
  11. You know, I hate that we didn't get LeBron, but I feel that Reinsdorf and Co. did what they needed to do to put themselves in a position to get him, but he apparently just didn't want to be "The Man" even though he's been calling himself "King James" since he was 16 James no longer has the right to call him "King." And I hand it to Reinsdorf and his group for giving it their all, but if a jackass doesn't want to be here, it will be sweet to kick his ass on the court.
  12. Everybody knows of my disdain for Kobe Bryant, but after watching Wade and James and to a lesser degree Bosh basically give the rest of the NBA a big middle finger too, I can so see a situation in which Kobe Bryant goes Michael Jordan/Byron Russell over Lebron James or Dwayne Wade (both needs to get OWNED badly) to win the NBA title.
  13. One player I wouldn't mind seeing the Bulls make a run for is Matt Barnes. He isn't a great player, but he is a tough defender, he has that swagger that Noah has (not that means anything), he's long and athlethic. Not saying he can stop James or Wade (not many of those out there, those who can are not available) but his length and athlethicism would give James and Wade problems. He seems to be the perfect Thibo player.
  14. I don't know if it's futile until I see what the Bulls do with the rest of their money.
  15. yes, and what happens in 5 years when their payroll is is 75 mil + 5 mle's = 105 mil + 35 mil in luxury tax? the heat could theoretically, in 5 years, be spending 140 mil on that team. that's gotta make their shareholders a little nervous. they will prolly be thinking "man, those 4 championships were a blast!!!!" Except they are not going to four championships.
  16. We'll give you Rip instead in the 3-team trade with the Blazers. Come on, he's selfless, will move without the ball while Rose creates and doesn't need the ball in his hands. I prefer Rodney Stuckey, but that's not happening. I don't want Gordon. As someone said about Arenas, Gordon isn't exactly a Thibo kind of player. Bulls/Pistons are terribe trading partners.
  17. wow thats amazing Thank you sully.
  18. A healthy and motivated Areans is a badass on the court. Problem is he is owed something like $80 mill on his contract. The biggest concern tho is the fact that Arenas has only played 47 games over the past three years. Big red flag. When healthy he is a premier player. I would be interested but the Bulls would have to have some compensation for taking on Arenas contract, somebody like Nick Young, Al Thornton, or maybe Javale McGee would have to come with Arenas to make the deal worth it for the Bulls. And if KC Johnson, aka The Bulls mouthpiece, is taking about it, then you know the Bulls have at least kicked the tires about Arenas. Again, it's a tough decision regarding possibly trading for Arenas, but if Washington offers up Young, Thornton, or McGee (I would assume Deng would be moved to a third team in this scenerio), I think the Bulls should bite.
  19. It is looking that way. I won't be watching their documentaries, and I really hope it flops.
  20. All I said that is was in the realm of possibility that Miami could go a stretch of 5-12, didn't say it was likely (he nitpicked something just to start something) just in the realm of possibility, and he's the one they thinks it isn't possible.
  21. I didn't say it was likely, I said it wasn't out of the realm of possibility. It is. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiggggggggggggggggghhhhhht. They............will..........be...........the bestest........team........ever, and a 5-12 stetch..............isn't possible. Right.
  22. I didn't say it was likely, I said it wasn't out of the realm of possibility.
  23. That's actually a pretty solid trade for the Knicks. Get a young big with talent, a useable big in Turiaf, and nice guard. Not bad for the Knicks.
  24. In the words of John McEnroe "you cannot be serious." Spoelstra's seat just got supernova hot right now, which is appropiate given the franchise's name. If Miami gets off to say........even a 5-12 record (maybe unlikely, but still in the realm of possibility) see how quickly Riley fires Spoelstra and takes control of the team. That's his M.O.
