IT IS AS THE PROPHETS OF BALTIMORE FORESAW! SOON THE ROBERTS TRADE SHALL BE COMPLETE!!!!!

REPENT FOR THE TIME IS NIGH!!!!!!!

Posted (edited)
The O's trade of Bedard would signal a major rebuilding process in which a trade of second baseman Brian Roberts would likely follow. The Cubs remain heavily interseted in Roberts, and the O's return would be another package of prospects, possibly including pitcher Sean Gallagher, Felix Pie and another prospect.

And the misspelling of "interested" is his.

Gallagher and Pie? That would be a terrible deal.

This makes my mind hurt.

That would be terrible...Roberts is good, but not that good..Seems like the O's are tryin to rape everyone in these deals..If they do get rid of Pie, Hendry better go after Lofton right away

Rosenthal, you've also had a terrible offseason. Please be wrong once again.

I just don't see the Cubs trading Pie in that deal. Hopefully Hendry won't prove me wrong on that.

I hope its Murton, SG, and Cedeno. I'd do that right now. Sign Lofton after that and we'd have one temporary weak spot in the lineup in Riot (I'm assuming after sucking enough, Lou would get tired of him, as he has of pretty much everyone else who has played like total crap).

Did you order that from somewhere or buy it at a retailer? Because every week CubWorld says the item's expected to ship "this week" and I don't have it yet. :|

The custom ones on MLB.com seem to only have white numbering on the back. I wish they would get the grey ones in Large and not just M and XXL.

If you sign Lofton, there's no reason to not trade Pie in some sort of deal. Pie isn't a good 4th OF candidate because of his lack of hitting and the fact that both he and Lofton don't hit LH's well. Keeping him in AAA another year is kind of pointless. He either has to play (even if it's a platoon) or be traded.

this is new-ish

The Orioles' trade of Bedard would signal a major reconstruction. Another significant deal involving second baseman Brian Roberts likely would follow. The Cubs remain heavily interested in Roberts, and the Orioles could receive prospects such as pitcher Sean Gallagher and outfielder Felix Pie or veterans such as RHP Jason Marquis and outfielder Matt Murton.

There is a Cubs store in Woodfield Mall and they have a huge rack of just Fukudome Jersey shirts. From Medium to 2XL. Too bad that they are horribly sized and the medium is ridiculously huge on me and made for very fat people. I hate mlb shirts.

These O's insiders seem to be doing a lot of hinting about Pie possibly being in the deal

Yep. :?

Are people still considering them to be "insiders"?

Thankfully nothing saying that he's likely to be in the deal though, just inferring that's it's possible.

And Rosenthal's edit I think just saved some heart attacks in Chicago.
