Yay, Dempster pitching. Game over. Putting Dempster in non-save situations or non 9th inning situations = automatic loss

Um, it is the 9th inning.

probably supposed to say non 9th inning save situations...

Yup yup

CALLED out on strikes? Come on rookie, you can't freaking sit there with the bat on your shoulders in this situation. Idiot.

It was on the corner. Just a great pitch more than anything.

And? You don't take pitches on the corner with two strikes against you, especially with the bases loaded in a tie game in the 8th inning.

What if the same pitch was just called a ball?

You don't swing at balls just so you can strike out and "go down like a man"

I just saw the pitch on Baseball Tonight. You don't take that pitch. Come on, you've seen enough baseball games to know that you have to protect the plate with two strikes, again, especially in that situation.

well at least pie is tryin to be patient up there...i thought it was too close to take, but it was a good pitch on the inside corner.

Did you see the 3 pitches prior that were called balls in the same spot?

exactly. its not about where the pitch wsa at. It's that the pitch before it was in the SAME spot and called a ball.

HAHAHAHA!!! With the Astros up 4-3 in the ninth, Brad Lidge gave up a HR to the first hitter of the inning, Mark Kotsay, which tied up the game.

I still can't believe we've had bases loaded and no body out late in the inning TWICE in the same week and not score?

I remember it happened 3 times in a week back in 2004

No, I didn't. And I find that hard to believe. But whatever, he struck out and that's that. Hopefully Soriano jacks one.
