Cool video.

Not a big fan of the song. For something like this, I'd prefer a song like that have more of an intimidating feel to it, whether it be hard rock/metal(i.e. Metallica - For Whom the Bell Tolls, which they play after TDs) or hip-hop. For some reason, that song just doesn't have the right vibe to it. JMO

On a related note, as the Chargers were earning their spot in the playoffs, P.O.D. came up with a really cool song in their honor. If you get a chance to hear it, it's pretty good. Especially if you like P.O.D.

I thought the lyrics were a bit cheesy, but it's a nice difference from another Requiem for a Dream song, or one of the two other songs that YouTubers like to use.

So you don't agree that Indy lost meaningful games to ho-hum competition down the stretch, or that the Bears rank much higher in the points scored vs given up department and have a better record?

The Bears also played the easiest schedule in the NFL, whereas the Colts had a middle of the pack strength of schedule... and the Bears' strength of victory was in the bottom third of the NFL, whereas the Colts' strength of victory was 4th in the NFL.

Yup. The Bears have no right to be in the Super Bowl. Where's the AP Poll when you need it?

Get over yourself. Truffle's making a case for Indy being a better team over the course of the year than the Bears (a case I find hard to argue with although I am also picking the Bears to win), not that the Bears have no right to be there. Recognize the difference before you make posts like that.

It's called sarcasm. Dry your eyes.

It's been near impossible to tell the sarcasm from the genuine anger considering some of the discussions I've seen this playoffs.

Especially those argumnents about how good the Panthers are and how they will eventually eclipse the Bears.

Oh, wait....

Oh, wait....

We'll be much better than 06 with Smith for a whole season, DeAngelo (hopefully) starting for a whole season, a competent offensive coordinator, a slightly less murderous schedule, etc. :D

I'm guessing it reaches 99, then the board crashes sometime during or right before the Superbowl.

I'm really worried about Freeny and Mathis. Especially Freeny. I'm having nightmares of him coming from Rex's blind side. They are going to need some serious help on that side because I doubt Tait is going to be able to handle him. Maybe they can slow him down with the running game but I really think he's going to wreck havoc.

I wonder if either team has started practicing/watching tape yet.

I bet coaches have watched tape, but the players haven't. Of course, unless you're somebody like Peyton Manning. Most people watch one recent game of an opponent to get game film. I know a couple years before a playoff game, Peyton stepped that up a little bit and watched every game his opponent had played the entire season. I'm sure he will do that this time with 2 weeks to prepare for the Bears.

I bet both teams will watch the film from Sunday tomorrow, and then practice will start the next day.

After yesterday's game, I don't mind the disrespect at all. The team may or may not be inspired by it, but it certainly doesn't hurt anything. At the very least, they like to say they're inspired by it.

On top of that, the Colts probably SHOULD be favored over the Bears. But I think the Bears can definitely win this game. The defense just has to come to play again.

Over the course of the season, including the playoffs, youd o not believe that the Bears have proven themselves to be a better team than the Colts?

I do.

Not that that brings in match ups or anything.

May I ask how the Bears have proved to be a better team?

Record against Common Opponents-Colts-6-0, Bears-3-2

That's just one statistic. Now, I am not one of these Colts fans who believe that the Colts are better than the Bears-they are not. This is going to be a very even game, although I do think there are some matchups the Colts can exploit. I certainly do not think though that the Bears have proven that they are better than the Colts, and am wondering what your evidence is for that.

I would say the evidence is that Indy lost multiple meaningful games down the stretch against ho-hum competition. Indy got the ball run down their throat repeatedly, and while the playoff run stopping has been impressive, it's been as much about teams abandoning the run against them as it has been about Indy stopping people. Both teams scored the same amount of points while the Bears gave up a lot less (and when you including playoff games, the Bears have scored more ppg).

I guess that would be the evidence. Although I'm not going to say that it proves the Bears are better. I think it's a great matchup of two equally matched teams. And I have no problem with Indy being a 7-point favorite. Spreads aren't about experts saying which team is better, they are a means to get people to gamble. Not many people would bet on the Bears if they were favorites due to the perception that they are somehow not deserving of being here.

Honestly, this is now looking like last years match up. You got one team that kinda struggled down the stretch (Steelers-Colts) got hot during the postseason and upset a few teams no one gave them a chance.

Then you got the Bears, who coasted as #1 seed throughout the season with a fairly formidable team and took care of bizness in the postseason. (The Saints can be equated with the Panthers, a team that played out of their ways in the postseason and then got smacked up in the Championship game)

So you know what that means. The Bears will be hosed by bad officiating, the commercials will be dissapointing, the halftime show terrible.

In the off-season Joseph Addai will retire and Peyton Manning will be hit by a bus.

EDIT: Saints = Panthers

The Bears will wear navy and white.

Oh thank god.

Assume that Colts will wear white & white?

Yeah, the Colts will wear their white uniforms-although I'd love to see all the casual fans watching the Super Bowl who would have no idea what was really going on if the Colts wore their blues :D

Why don't the Colts have blue pants? They'd look sharp.

I can't even wrap my brain around this. I can't imagine what it'd look like.

Photoshop anybody?

I think the white jersey/pants combination looks great for the Colts, the blue pants, too gimmicky.
