    But is it win-win-win? only if it causes Aaron Miles to opt out. If Hendry is gone after this season (or during) i don't see any reason why the whoever takes over would keep Aaron Miles. He's going to follow Hendry out the door. The only reason to keep him would be because we'd have to pay him to not play baseball. Of course that's a much better option than paying him to play baseball. Atleast it's not something like 11 million or so the Brewers are on hook for Bill Hall. It's i think what 3-4 million? Alot of money but not much for a team like the Cubs.

    After being a Cub fan for sooo long.. I don't want to be optimistic anymore. It's heartbreaking and nothing good comes from it, especially being a fan of this team.

    You can't argue with Peavy ... he's proven. Rios is definitely a risky move, IMO. I'm surprised the posters on WSI and Soxtalk aren't talking more about the risk. They are almost universally hailing Kenny for this. They're still caught up with the Peavy move. I don't think they are going to talk about the risks and/or start bashing Wiliams for some time or if Rios really sucks.

    This move has to have been Williams getting caught blocking Rios from Detroit. I don't know but i don't see why else he would put a claim on a player with a 60 million buck contract.
