Holy crap on a stick. I just bought 2 tickets near the 50, first row, in the 400 level off ticketmaster!

how the?

I've been checking throughout the evening, especially at work when I had nothing to do.

I came across two different pairs in the club boxes, but these were the first in the lower price ranges. Of course, tickets only came up like once every 30 attempts.

Darn you Chicago, Northern Indiana residence!!!! Me want tickets

How is this game not sold out?

It is. Every once in a while, especially as the game nears, a few tickets (and I do mean just a few) get released because of orders that couldn't go through for whatever reason.

I was able to grab a pair for the game in '01 the night before because they released some. Of course, it took over 45 minutes of trying continuously and not finding any tickets for them to come up.

Jon, may I just say that I thought you were a hell of a lot older than your picture proved to be. I was thinking 30-35.

Boy was I off.

Quick question. I've never been to an NFL game. Suppose you sit where Jon is. How good are those seats? I would love to be in the atmosphere at the stadium (especially during the playoffs), but is it worth all the money? Is it that much better than watching the game on your couch with some friends or at a bar with a bunch of crazy drunk fans?

I've been to a number of NFL games (none of which were playoffs or in Chicago  ). That being said, I'd rather fork over $$ for regular season game, regardless of the implications. I just don't like the idea of paying big bucks for the possibility of watching my favorite team lose and being one and done. Of course, I'm sure that atmosphere alone is worth the price of admission. The Super Bowl is another story, though. I'd gladly pay the money for that.

40 yard line, to be exact.

If I go and they win, well worth it. If I go and they lose, I'll really be kicking myself for not selling them...

I think I just threw up a little bit in my own mouth and it wasnt because of the height of those seats. YOU LUCKY DOG!!!!

I know it doesnt compare but my seats were pretty decent for Bears & Rams in St. Louis. I may become a target of a lot of insults here but it felt like we had home field advantage (without regard to the temperature control of course).

AFTER A LULL ON SATURDAY...MIXED WINTERY PRECIPITATION IS LIKELY TO RETURN BY EARLY SUNDAY MORNING. PRESENT INDICATIONS SUGGEST THAT THE PRECIPITATION SHOULD BE MAINLY SNOW NORTH OF INTERSTATE 80 ON SUNDAY...WITH A MIX OF SNOW...SLEET...AND FREEZING RAIN SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80. BY SUNDAY NIGHT...PRECIPITATION SHOULD BECOME ALL SNOW ACROSS THE ILLINOIS PORTION OF THE OUTLOOK AREA...WITH A POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL

THERE IS STILL SOME UNCERTAINTY AS TO THE TRACK AND AND STRENGTH OF THIS WEATHER SYSTEM WHICH WILL INFLUENCE SNOW ACCUMULATIONS AND PRECIPITATION TYPES. HOWEVER...THE POTENTIAL FOR HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS EXISTS THIS WEEKEND DUE TO THE POSSIBILITY OF MIXED WINTERY PRECIPITATION AND THE THREAT OF ACCUMULATING SNOW SUNDAY

INTO EARLY MONDAY

there also might be a stiff wind off the lake enhancing the snow in some areas

I don't know if I should watch this at home, or drive early and watch it from my dorm room.

My only friend that I have left here in Chicago is a Seahawks fan. :?

I think the answer is obvious.

OH WAIT, you said you were friends. I was thinking like I have "FRIENDS" that are Packer fans and "FRIENDS" that are Cardinals fans. I thought you meant friends like that. Then the answer would be obvious.

Drive early. No friends to watch it with here, and you don't want to be stuck driving to school in that insane storm on Sunday night.

Anyone read the article on the front page of espn on Rex? Is it worth reading?

Not really.

Edit: Not really a bad article, but it's nothing you don't know already by being a fan of the team.

There is nothing like the atmosphere in a good football stadium in professional sports. Living in NJ, I sorely miss Baltimore's stadium because the place was electric. Dangerous. But electric as well. Going to Giants Stadium to see either the Giants or the JETS is like going to a masoleum.

This year for the Bear's back to back games in the Meadowlands the atmosphere was great, but it was because of the Bears' fans that flocked to the place. The Nets are dead. The Knicks are dead. The Devils' fans show life, but there's only like 10 of them at any given game.

I went to one Blackhawks playoff game in the 1980's when I was randomly in town (they were playing Edmonton). If a Bears playoff game is like that with more people, then go...go...go...

I know how you feel, I don't know how I'm going to survive till Sunday. Lets get it overwith already!

Does anyone know where I can find some good Bears Wallpapers? The main site has some really really lame ones.
