There are sports writers and analysts who love Tony in St. Louis and there are those who are not so fond (basically what you find in every city with a professional team who has lost more than one game). I think it will be interesting here to see who massacres him for this and those that make excuses (we already know one for that list). Knowing Bernie personally, I have to say I am a bit surprised by his post. On the other hand I am also well aware of two other radio personalities that strongly disagree with Bernie but dont have a column or a newspaper writing contract to voice their opinions. When it comes down to it. Look at the facts. Tony over legal limit--FACT (.08 is the legal limit RIGHT NOW). Tony asleep with the car on AND his foot on the brake (most states you only need to have your keys in the ignition to get a DUI)--FACT. Tony arrested for DUI--FACT. I feel for Tony in the sense that if he was in St. Louis he probably would have drove home with no DUI. (See any of three of Leonard Little's DWI offenses--not even close to the caliber of well known as Tony, he plays for the Rams). I say that because Leonard Little hit a car while driving drunk and killed a mother of 2. No jail time and missed two games. WOW.
I apologize if this has already been posted but this was wrote by a great sports writer (who I worked with at ESPN radio in St. Louis) Bernie Miklasz. I wonder how that response would have went if it was Lou Piniella..........
I am going to start taking my grandmothers approach to baseball. I like Marquis because a) he's not a Cardinal (anymore) and b) he wears his pants and socks old school style. I also met him once in St. Louis and he was pretty cool. As for pitching, I go so far as to say I would have rather seen Prior throw against the Rangers.
My fiance actually went to Nike ID.com and made me some "Cubs" shoes. The reason I say "Cubs" is they dont have rights to the actual logo but he made them the Cubs colors and put the word "Cubbies" on them. They are actually really sweet!!!
i love that jersey, i was just looking at those last nite! ugh, just when i promised myself not to bid on anything....must fight the urge. I usually save my money and then go nuts on wrigleyvillesports.com just in time for opening day. I havent been too impressed with "new" stuff I have seen on ebay.
I'm a little confused by your question-the Bears had the better record overall, the Colts had the better record against the opposing conference, and the better record vs common opponents. Well confused or not you answered the question. Indianapolis.
Anyone else sad that the weather wont be a factor? Geez I wish we would be in Chicago. Say if they had to decide between these two teams, who would get home field advantage, based on wins in the opposite league, where would we be playing???
Ok, lets take a poll. How many people stopped reading this thread because your finger hurt after scrolling? Because it stopped making sense to people who want to talk non stat football? Because there is too much quoting???
