  1. Who can forget this classic television program about the 1990's Cubs http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a39/chunkers383/dawson.jpg
  2. Where are the SABRmaticians? Small sample size folks, small sample size. The only dude I'm ready to bury is Soriano because his approach was terrible at the plate and even at times in the field. That being said, and I know this is beating a dead horse, he is a horrible lead off man.
  3. Oh yeah, that's going to turn out so much better. I had zero expectations for this team....if they manage to win the division, that would be awesome.
  4. Si. In his mind he was thinking we'll be back and we'll do better. But I understand why people are pissed right now. "Be patient" from a guy that did less for the offense than Ronny Cedeno (who I believe only appeared as a pinch runner) is pretty infuriating.
  5. Bear Down! Chicago Bears. Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da
  6. Tomorrow's a big day. If the Red Sox win, the Angels will set the record for most wins by a team to get swept in a best of five playoff series in a DS breaking the record set by the 2008 Chicago Cubs. It would be nice to get that off the board right away.
  7. Were you there? I didn't see anyone in Row P, but if you were incognito...smart move. It was a wild section, and you gotta love the Dodgers "no security, no ushers" policy for the upper decks. I've never left a game early in my life before tonight, but I was comfortable having my Mom sit two seats away from a guy who was making jokes about gang raping a pretty Cubs fan a couple rows up to the roar of approval from the "fans" around me.
  8. I don't care about 1 and 2. I'm psyched to go to Dodgertown tomorrow and see the Cubbies get back in this series.
  9. In Cubs fashion I bet they win big on Saturday, then lose a close one on Sunday.
  10. I thought it was weird they played hard against the Mets for awhile then went in the tank for the Crew. Maybe we're getting some bad karma from an angry Shea Stadium. Don't worry, once it's bulldozed the Curse of Shea will end.
  11. He asked Derron Williams at a press conference why he can't do anything against Derrick Fisher without help from the refs and DWILL looked at the Jazz's press person like, what the heck is this hack doing here?
  12. Yes. I'm still going. I'll take another sucker punch if it comes to that, I have a sinking feeling it's not going to be fun, but this is my team...what else can I do but show up and cheer?
  13. Nice to see Cotts is at least playing at his usual level.
  14. :rotfl: They don't let you bring signs into the ballpark. Might distract the fans. But beachballs, those are awesome
  15. Doh! It takes more than two pitches to strike out!
