  1. Just like when you drink you should not drive for at least 2 hours, when you suffer something as devestating as what happened last nightm, you hsouldn't post for at least 2 days, cuz you'll end up saying all sorts of crazy things otherwise.
  2. Didnt do it. And I probably won't. Emotions suck
  3. I still think there may have been a little something to that. I think, given what we saw, we were still gonna lose this series, but we may have pulled that one out. IMHO, HOme field advantage should also mean you have say over starting time.
  4. Hmm. Hard to think about that, but the Cubs have had a halfway good 10 years, as regards post season appearances.4 in 10 years is a lot better than the previous 50 years.
  5. Especially on Thursday's game. The game started waaayy too late for a normal wrigley start. The Dogers actually got a normal start time for that game, jet lag be damned. Think the Cubs were just tired for that game? Seeing as the bumbles came fairly early on, I'd say so. IMHO, if the game started 2 hours earlier, the Cubs... Well, they still would have probably lost, but at least then the collapse would have come in the 8th.
  6. One do or die game for the first two levels of playoffs. Team with best record gets home field.
  7. I love this from that thread: "Watch our leadoff hitter interpret the strike zone as the relative size of Alberta."
  8. "Failure Isn't an option. It comes bundled with the software" OK, not a Cubs slogan, but I loved it first time I heard it.
  9. This morning. At least the sun is shining. But that's about all.
  10. "Same Crap, Different Century." "100% less fulfilling than last year's Cubs!"

  12. Hmmm. How about a thread of 'How you feel in song'? This song goes great with the song Synchronicity II "It's a humiliating kick in the crotch"
  13. Today I am officially stopping being a fan of baseball. I always said I'd give up on baseball before I give up on the Cubs. Fortunately I don't have much in the way financial outlay on my merch (My hat got ruined last year, so that's long gone). All I have is a newspaper from the morning after Z's no hitter and a bumpersticker. At 10:30 this morning, I'm going to take the offending items, put them on my weber and send them to the pits of hell from where they came. 30 years a fan, 30 years of losing, 4860 games of fasle hope. Bye bye baseball. YEah, like I'm gonna give it up. I know whats gonna happen come april. I'll be coming back to this team like a dog to his vomit. It always happens. Prepare for the "100 year loser" signs by all the tard and Sox fans at games next year. Its not gonna get easier for us fans at all.
  14. "It Aint gonna happen!" "Stop Believing!" "Next Year Isn't Here!" "God IS Dead!" "Cubs. World Champs '08! No, NOt Last Year!"
  15. The Cubs have nothing to do with your personal failures. Didn't say that they did. I'm just saying that when things seem to start looking up for me, fate, god, whatever always ake it crash back down. The other shoe drops, so to speak. Huh? Now this we can agree on.
