Holy crap, $78 round trip flights from Newark to Chicago. I need to go.

Goony, where did you find this? What airline/agency website?

Thanks. Apparently, that deal isn't available anymore. :x

Anyone going to the game Sunday planning on tailgating? My normal tailgating crew is not going to be tailgating for the game, so I am looking for other options.

If no one is tailgating, anyone interested in maybe meeting up in one of the lots and doing some basic tailgating. I have a propane grill to use and whatnot, but I don't have any sort of SUV or anything to bring it, nor do I feel like getting there at 6am to get a spot at the 31st street lot, but I would be willing to meet up, bring some beer and eat some chips or whatnot and get pumped up for the game.

I'm probably just going to bug out and go to the Monroe lot (impossible to tailgate there). I also don't feel like getting up early enough to get a spot in the 31st St. lot. If there's anyone who has a spot in one of the preferred lots, they would be the best for tailgating.

What would be the best way to go about purchasing next round's playoff game....would I be charged if they didn't get there?

I still haven't been to a game at new Soldier Field.

You guys are lucky.

This will be my 7th Bears game this year. 6 @ home and the Giants game.

My Record is 6-0 and the Bears have won the games I've attended by a combined score of 224-81 and an average score of 37-14. I think we got this one in the bag. 8-)

Only things I've ever seen at Soldier Field were the Pink Floyd and Grateful Dead shows

Thats not a bad alternative, either.

If Hasselbeck continues his struggles' date=' the Bears should win even with Grossman at QB. However, if for some reason, Hasselbeck shows signs of last year and Alexander continues to run strong... Seattle wins this game 31-24.[/quote']

Alexander would have to start running strong before he can continue running strong.

An average of 105 yards per game since coming back from his injury is nothing to laugh at.

If that was his average, maybe you'd have a point, but it's not.

Besides, he's only rushed for that much twice in the 8 games since he's been back, and he's averaged just 3.69 yards per attempt.

You confused me by this... perhaps I miss calc'd ?

As Soul mentioned, those numbers are elevated due to his 200+ against GB and SD.

That being said, he isn't the RB he was last year and Hasselbeck is an average QB right now.

I have a gut feeling the Bears will win and could win big, However... IF, and it is a BIG if, Hasselbeck finds his stuff, that opens up Alexander to have a nice game.

Just a thought....

778 yards in 8 games comes to 97.25. Remove his high game and his low game and you get 90. And the point still stands, he's averaged only 3.69 yards per attempt, which is not "running strong".

Point taken! I was a bit presumptious on claiming him "running strong"

I guess it will come down to more than Alexander and Hasselbeck.

I saw a PF show there (the sky was purple after a storm blue through - I swear), and I saw the last Dead show, which was terrible.

I was at both of those shows, and you are right on both accounts. Pink Floyd was the best show ever, and I was ready to shoot myself in the face about 3 songs into the Dead show

PS.... I love all of you! This will be my first game at New Solider. I have been to two Bears games at Old Solider, 5 Bears-Packers games at Lambeau, and now 2 games at Ford Field.

My first Bears game at Solider was a game a few of you might remember..... Bears v. Browns 11/4/2001... Greatest day of my life. I told my fiance that it is quite possible that our wedding day and the birth of our first child wont be able to bump that from number one on my life list. And if the Cubs... well lets not talk about it.

BEAR FREAKING DOWN!!!

Playoffs are freaking great! I'll have to drink a couple beers just to calm my nerves so i dont jump out of my skin. Usually the Cubs or Bears playoffs does that to me. More the Bears because its one and done. I really want them to win bad because a NFC champ game would be really exciting, especially one at Chicago.

They wanted Seattle in playoffs last year, they got it this year. Do something about it.

So with students slowly coming back here in Philly, I dare anyone to somehow guess the most common insult of the Bears.

"You guys are going to killed like 2001"

Way more lacking in orginality than that.

I'm gonna guess "Rex Grossman sucks!"

Don't worry, you'll have the last laugh.
