  1. Interesting to note, 19,031 paid attendance at tonights game. To compare the only other Tuesday night game in Milwaukee drew 22,603 just a week ago against the Dodgers.
  2. Six and counting for Mr. Arod!
  3. Well done, Jinxy McJinxerson If I have that much jinxing power, the Cubs would be going for their 9th straight victory tomorrow. .....crap! C'mon Pirates, pull this one off!
  4. Looks like that was all for nothing as he will go down with the loss! Go Pirates :)
  5. Let's get the sweep... Picked this off another forum and I can't stop laughing! Cubs fans unite, Wrigley Field North is great! Go Cubs!
  6. That was sick, even the scattered Brewer fans around me noted how well he looked, especially with that pitch!
  7. According to the LA Times, the Dodgers played in some frigid temps regardless of the roof. The stadium can be covered, but still has no central heat. Not true, I had lunch at the stadium today, roof closed and it was pleasant. With 40,000+ packed in tomorrow night I would expect temps in the 60's in the roof covered mess they call Wrigley North!
  8. That screwed up roof in Milwaukee will help make for nice weekend baseball. I will be at all three if anyone else is going....
  9. No doubt who runs that dugout. I for one can't wait for the season to develop, Lou is already kick'n some butt!
  10. co-sign, I just found a BP-quality post from back in the day about Soriano at the top of the lineup and although its a small sample size, tonights Lilly/Arroyo game is making him look awfully prescient Maybe you could ask kroth1342 whatever happened to him, since you share the same IP. Too much time on your hands?
  11. This has to be a mistake, I was lead to believe that DirecTV was set to buy the world, cure cancer and further develop human cloning all while providing top level satellite television. Boy was I wrong! Off to order my EI package!
  12. I don't see this at all. The purpose of the extended meetings is to get Cable the right to broadcast games immediately. In fact, a rep from InDemand claims they will be up and running within an hour of a signed deal. The question is will they sign the deal? I'm not convinced that MLB is negotiating in good faith rather then offering a take it or leave it deal. It's just an opion, no fact. You may be right, as a cable customer I am just holding out hope that a deal will be met.
  13. I'm declaring that as of this moment, I am posting in this thread. Soon...I shall post in another thread. Eventually, I will do the laundry. At some point, I will make myself dinner. At the end of the day, I will be sleeping. While we're declaring...I'm declaring myself eligible for the NBA draft. Excellent, we should hold a press conference! :D

  15. Agreed! I am holding on to the 07 season first. Let Cuban win an NBA title and get ready to cut a check for the Cubs!
