  1. I really like Jared Burton coming out of the pen for the Reds.
  2. Sarcasm. I love it! Where are your other boys and girls at?
  3. That is some hard hitting analysis right there. Personally, I'd rather have shallow analysis from JuCo failures. Another solid post by the milk boy. You and your entire crew are becoming really annoying with this crap. Its a freaking message board. You guys take this stuff to the extreme.
  4. That is some hard hitting analysis right there.
  5. Lincecum is miles ahead of Marmol when it comes to mechanics and durability.
  6. One of the posters in your "special list"
  7. It really does not make sense in how they were allowed to pitch with such bad mechanics. Adding in the fact they were seemingly throwing 110+ pitches every fith day still amazes me and others. I know Prior came into the league with these so called perfect mechanics. Maybe that played a role in the management allowing him to throw so many pitches. I agree with PingHitter in the fact fatigue played a role. I may be wrong, but I don't think Prior every thrown more than 150 innings in his life before that 03 season. Add in the fact he has horrible mechanics and you have your self a major issue. That is why I am worried about Marmol. I don't think he has the mechanics that will keep him healthy to be a starter. He is better suited in that closer's role throwing limited pitches. You can baby a pitchers arm all you want. Eventually those bad mechanics will catch up to him. When evaluating a pitcher, its nice to look at his stats, but you also have to look deeper. You have to check their mechanics and their other intangibles.
  8. Except Mark Prior has some of the worst upper body mechanics ever for a pitcher. I know a lot of people are jumping to conclusions that just because Dusty is their manager now that he will destroy ever single pitcher they have. I don't think that will be the case. I think a pitcher is more likely to break down if they have bad mechanics than the big pitch count theory. I really don't see anything mechanically in Harang, Arroyo, or Bailey that catches my eye. They are no Dan Haren when it comes to mechanics, but their mechanics are pretty good.
  9. Solid finish. Finished with the best score among non-premium posters.
  10. Pitchers tend to recover better when having TJ than they do with shoulder surgery. The shoulder is one thing you do not want to mess with if you are making a living throwing a baseball.
  11. RF, SS, CF, and another SP are on the shopping list this off-season for the Cubs. I have my concerns with Howry and Marmol as well.
  12. 1. Soriano 2. Theriot 3. Lee 4. Ramirez 5. Murton 6. Soto 7. DeRosa 8. Jones 9. Lilly
