I'll take any win this weekend. Even a 1-point, total-luck, whole-country-knows-you-should-have-lost, win.

JUST

DO NOT

Oh, I totally agree. I don't even care if the reffs hand it on a platter to us like they have so many times to other teams this year.

I just expect our team to put up more than 17 points.

Gale Sayers on ESPN News saying the Bears can't win the Super Bowl with Grossman (or Griese).

He also stated that Rex "didn't think about his teamates" when he publicly admitted to being under-prepared against Green Bay. Claims he should have said that to his teamates and left it at that.

Also LT can't be considered "the best" because there are too many domes in the NFL now? Also because of the hash marks being in closer.

Whatever.

That's funny considering LT has played 5 of his 97 career games in a dome. And I don't even understand the hash marks comment. Gale Sayers= Joe Morgan.

Honestly, Gale Sayers is a horrible commentator.

I am going to be trying to ticketmaster thing all day. So far, all I have found is the $350ish tickets. A little too rich for my blood, unfortunantly.

I'm not sure that warrants a "too." Medication maybe, but not "too."

Congrats, though. Hopefully they release tickets like this for the NFC championship game.

350....wow. How much are they normally?

NFL player analysts just lost all credibility w/ me. One player analyst on Cold Pizza just touted Tommie Harris as a critical member of the defense to watch for Sunday. I guess CP lost as much credibility (not that it had any before) for even allowing that to happen.

If Hasselbeck continues his struggles, the Bears should win even with Grossman at QB. However, if for some reason, Hasselbeck shows signs of last year and Alexander continues to run strong... Seattle wins this game 31-24.

Alexander would have to start running strong before he can continue running strong.

With hash marks wider apart, the ball can be spotted closer to one sideline or the other, effectively reducing the ability to run to the short side of the field. Narrower hash marks makes for better opportunities to go to either side, without the sideline being the defense's friend.

But everytime I hear Sayers talk I think less and less of him.

I'm not sure why, but I just have a good feeling about this game. I think the defense and offense has been holding back since the Giants game (considering that was really the last game that seriously threatened their #1 seed), and they've been looking towards this first playoff game ever since last year.

I think the defense from the first half of the season shows up again, the offense gets into a rhythm again, and Rex gets to play with a lead, where he's most dangerous.

Bears 24, Seahawks 6.

Other games:

Colts 31, Ravens 27

Chargers 27, Patriots 14

Eagles 38, Saints 35

I get a similar feeling. I believe the defense is going to run wild.

An average of 105 yards per game since coming back from his injury is nothing to laugh at.

If that was his average, maybe you'd have a point, but it's not.

Besides, he's only rushed for that much twice in the 8 games since he's been back, and he's averaged just 3.69 yards per attempt.

Mostly that is 2 games, GB & SD, where they ran him 40 and 31 times respectively.

All the other games he was below 100 yards: SF, DEN, ARI, SF (again), TB....

He's still a great back, but he clearly hasn't been the same this year. Word is he was limping last week too. Now that I've said it I'm sure he'll torch us for 150

While our pass defense has declined since the Vikings game, our running defense has been pretty stout.

Boone+Scott is a nice little combo to stop the run, HORRIBLE rushing the passer though.

You confused me by this... perhaps I miss calc'd ?

As Soul mentioned, those numbers are elevated due to his 200+ against GB and SD.

That being said, he isn't the RB he was last year and Hasselbeck is an average QB right now.

I have a gut feeling the Bears will win and could win big, However... IF, and it is a BIG if, Hasselbeck finds his stuff, that opens up Alexander to have a nice game.

Just a thought....

....I think you forgot to add the playoff game, which I believe drops Shaun below 100ypg.

778 yards in 8 games comes to 97.25. Remove his high game and his low game and you get 90. And the point still stands, he's averaged only 3.69 yards per attempt, which is not "running strong".

Most likely, $350. These are face value tickets being sold through TicketMaster.
