If Florida wins, is undefeated Boise State national champion? I personally don't think so. College football really needs a playoff system IMO.

can't be. Voters are required to vote the winner of tonight's game as #1

Ohio State by 14 or 17, but it will be close until the late stages

Yeah, I was thinking OSU 31 Florida 17 or 14 with Florida taking an early lead.

But, if the OSU QB struggles and in any game things can happen, this could turn out the exact opposite. For some reason I get this feeling the Gators have something up their sleeve and OSU may not have an answer for it until it's too late. I would like to see a good game most of all.

You guys are pretty silly.

Honestly? Uhhh

OSU 38

Fla 17

I just don't see Fla with much consistent offense, ever.

I dont either. They will put up some points with some big plays but they wont be driving down the field play after play. If Teabow is brought in the game they better try one or 2 pass plays. That shotgun sneak up the middle might get 2 or 3 yards at best, its nothing OSU needs to scheme for to stop its so predicatable, hell its worse than Michigan predictable. Its such a stupid play, i hope he runs into the OSU DT/LB wall.

Leak throws some real dumb passes at times. He will throw a stupid one tonight probably. They need him to have his game of his life.

Florida's kicking game is downright awful, they better have the lead late in the game to win.

That might be true, but I'm not sure that Ohio State will score 10 points more than anybody has scored on Florida all year. Their defense is pretty darn good.

The AP is not contractually obligated. They could vote Boise State national champions. The coaches poll is obligated to vote the winner of this game the national champ.

In 2003, that's how the split championship happened.

But hasn't the AP disaffiliated from the BCS since then? Does the NCAA recognize the AP polls at all at this point?

I agree and they might execute or disguise things better than the other teams OSU have faced this year.

Do they even have a trophy still? What do you put in the AD trophy display case? Sheet of paper with the final rankings framed.

The NCAA has recognized the AP since the 1930s, I'm sure we would have heard if they'd changed their mind.

Yeah, the AP isn't affiliated with the BCS anymore with regards to the computer rankings but it's still recognized by the NCAA.

ok, recognized, but with all of it's eggs in the BCS basket, the NCAA is more likely to disregard the AP if they decide Boise St. is #1, right?

I guess the NCAA is more likely to disregard the AP poll over the Harris and coaches if they were going to disregard one, but I don't think that will happen.

Why there isn't a playoff system. Look no further than Delany.

You make this man and his 11 presidents happy and you got yourself a playoff system. All playoff systems must incorporate this into their formula for it to work. Fair or unfair as it may seem.

Yeah, this man is terrible and has no backbone.

It might take a generation before we get a playoff, gotta wait till all these dinosaurs die off.
