He said that Aramis wanted to stay with the Cubs and was willing to give them a hometown discount and that's exactly what happened. When Rosenthal first reported it, he referred to the sixth year as a 'vesting option.' It might be something that could auto-vest due to something like plate appearances, or convert to a mutual option if it doesn't vest. Or Rosenthal could have been wrong. :)

 

Hopefully we'll find out more tomorrow.

Hendry's being paid to win the World Series. Last time I checked, he's been piloting a ship that went from the NLCS to worst in the NL in record time.
