Why in the hell would Dusty double switch Todd Walker out of the game? His "clean up" hitter. that Makes no sense!

Reaching base three times in three plate appearances doesn't matter if the guy can't make outs from both sides of the plate.

Gotta love Dusty taking out Walker. He's the best hitter on the team right now, so he subs Neifi in for him?

Well guys I hate to say it but with Lee out this is our team, the one who will struggle to score 2 or 3 runs a game, and lets face it right now we just don't have the pitchers to pitch shutouts.
Posted
I'll take Lee in a heartbeat.........healthy of course.

Pujols is a great player without a doubt but what does annoy me is that way everyone kisses his butt all the time I mean the guy does make outs, he's not freaking Superman for crying out loud.

That's a Cubs fan talking.

Pujols is a once in a generation type of player. If he doesn't have a catastrophic injury, by the time he is done he will be mentioned among the greatest hitters to ever play.

He hasn't even reached his prime yet.

I don't know if Pujols has reached his prime or not, and Lee undeniably had a better year last year, but PECOTA projects that Pujols will be worth 2.5 wins more than Lee this year and 15 more wins than Lee over the next five years.

Straight up, I'd trade Lee for Pujols in a heartbeat.

This is going to sound a bit of homerism, but I WOULDN'T trade Lee for Pujols. Derrek has become the foundation of the Cubs, the "heart and soul" of the team, and I value that immensely. Pujols isn't too bad defensively, but let's just this...Derrek is closer to Pujols in offensive abilities, then Pujols is to Derrek defensively.

Albert is a great player, but I rather have the MORE complete player in Lee.

Lee had one good year. Pujols is a lock for an elite year every year. Lee isn't that much better than Pujols defensively.

Does anybody else get the feeling that the Cubs are abit demoralize after losing Lee for 2 months? I know Dusty call a team meeting to get this team refocused, but this team still seem to be very dependant on Lee, especially Ramirez.

This is why the Cubs NEEDED a VOCAL LEADER. Someone who is willing to lead, and again this team is TOO quiet, when it comes to leadership.

If I had to pick my favorite part of this game, it has to be the part where we have double the Cards' hits and one-third the runs

Well this one is probably over. Rusch does not have the stamina to start.

glendon doesnt have ANYTHING to start

This is true, but I was trying to stay possitive. Whats the Ruschsters era now?

I like Lee a lot but if Jocketty called wanting to trade Pujols for Lee? Bye Bye DLee. Not even close. He's 26 years old and the best hitter on the planet and he's not that bad defensively.

I hate the Cubs. I am sick of the negativity that surrounds them, I'm sick of hearing about curses, I'm sick of teams always getting the best of us, I'm sick of freak injuries, I'm sick of wondering how good my team would be in 3 of their 4 best players weren't hurt. I'm sick of it all.

I'm really starting to hate watching this team, and all it took was two games ADL (after D-Lee). Rusch wastes what had been a very nice performance with 3 walks with 2 outs and then Dusty removes our only hot hitter from the lineup in a stupid double switch....amazing!

Okay guys Pujols is great right now no doubt about it, the thing is anything can happen before he retires he's very young, people forget that he could end up like a Maglio Ordonez who gets older has injury after injury hampering his career, its a little soon with so many years of baseball ahead of Pujols to just put him in the HOF now, because you never know what can happen to a guy look at Griffey Jr. also.

Well, the Cardinal bullpen is weak, three or more runs off it is not impossible...

with this lineup? Please.

Plus dusty thought it was necessary to switch out our best hitter.

Thanks.
