Not many early games today. Duke vs. GW is the only game around 1pm (EST), two are around 3:30, three around 5:30-6, then the rest at around 8.

Duke seems to always get the early Saturday game when no one else is playing since obviously EVERYONE wants to see them. Duke is to CBS as the Yankees are to ESPN.

That's always the way it is on Saturday of the first weekend. They show a quadrupleheader, but there's only one game during the early time. I don't really like it that way, since there's no other game to switch to if the game turns into a blowout (it wouldn't matter to me anyway; since Duke is a local team they'd stick with it regardless of how ugly it might get). Sunday is only a tripleheader, so CBS can show its usual primetime lineup.

who wouldn't want to watch Duke?

if we thank God for small miracles, one is that Vitale doesn't work for CBS

I could not put up with an entire weekend of Dick Vitale. CBS tried to convince ESPN to let him call some games this year, but they declined. Thank God.

No kidding, the endless stream of Crapplebee's commercials have already put me thisclose to a murderous rage.

Yeah, CBS is good like that. I miss ESPN having the NCAA's, you had a couple of games at 5 EST and on Sunday you could catch more games. I don't understand why CBS doesn't do what NBC did with the Olympics and put the games on the other channels that they own.

I'm worried about Illinois today.

I'm worried as well but, I'm encouraged by the fact that defense is somewhat of an after thought for the Huskies whereas, it's the Illini' main focus.

Illini FG % defense - .403

Huskies - .433

Illini OPP PPG - 58.1

Huskies - 69.4

Illini RPG - 36.0

Huskies - 37.9

I believe the Illini will play solid defense, if they control the boards, I like their chances by the way, Utah State killed the Huskies on the boards the other night something like a +18 rebound margin.
